spent time with the Chief Executive Officer of Greentown Labs and the President of the Northeast Clean Energy Council to learn about the history of the facility

Afterwards,  met with representatives from some of the start-ups within the Greentown Labs community to hear about the latest innovative developments in climate technology. 
These innovators will be themed in alignment with the five Earthshots: Fix our Climate, Protect and Restore Nature, Build a Waste-Free World, Revive our Oceans and Clean our Air. They will have the opportunity to see some of the prototypes that have been developed at Greentown Labs in person.

A little boy dressed as a guardsman has surprised the Prince and Princess of Wales handing a bouquet of flowers to Kate. The cute scene happened as the Royals were leaving after carrying out another of their engagements in Boston, that included a visit to Greentown Labs in Somerville to learn about climate innovations.


William matched his wife in a burgundy sweater - and looked cheerful as he arrived at the venue, despite bracing for fresh attacks from his brother Harry in the Sussexes' upcoming Netflix trailer 


Greentown Labs is located in Somerville, Massachusetts, which is around a 15 minute drive from Boston

The youngster asked the Princess of Wales where the couple's eldest son George was - with Kate telling Henry that he'd had to stay at home in order to attend school


Eight-year-old Henry Dynov-Teixeira provided what was no doubt a much-needed moment of lightness for the couple, whose engagement came just hours after Prince Harry and Meghan released a very ill-timed trailer for their explosive Netflix doc

Henry Dynov-Teixeira, eight, was so impressed by the changing of the guard when he visited Buckingham Palace earlier this year that he asked his family for a costume - and was proudly wearing it, complete with bearskin, at the Royal's visit 


Young Henry presented the Princess with a bouquet of red roses - and he later told DailyMail.com of his meeting with the couple: 'It was crazy meeting the Prince and Princess. I wasn't actually that nervous now that I think about it'

travelled to the neighbouring city of Chelsea, to visit Roca, 
a non-profit organisation focusing on high-risk young people aged 16-24 years old at the centre of violence

After meeting eco-start ups ＠ Greentown Labs the Prince and Princess of Wales are now ＠ Roca Inc (a charity which helps keep teens away from violence) and are here at a crèche with young mothers children

A Kensington Palace said: 
"Roca aims to reduce levels of trauma, violence and incarceration, create sustained employment, and improve parenting. They also work closely with critical public systems such as police officers, judges, correction officers and child protection services to help build policies and practices that produce better outcomes for young people who are the primary victims or drivers of violence."

 had the opportunity to spend time with leaders and volunteers who have dedicated much of their lives to the organisation. William and Kate learned about their intervention model rooted in brain science and relentless outreach to young people who aren't willing to engage in school, work or other efforts

Following their trip to Greentown Labs, Kate and William made their way to the nearby suburb of Chelsea, where they paid a visit to Roca, a non-profit organization focusing on high-risk young people at the center of urban violence

took part in an arts and crafts session with several young children at Roca, with the Princess seen helping one youngster with some paper shapes

Sussexes' bombshell Netflix trailer has 'been DELIBERATELY timed to take away from the Cambridges' landmark US tour', experts say 

The release of the trailer for Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries has been 'deliberately designed' to 'take away' from the Cambridges' landmark US tour, a royal expert has claimed.

The explosive trailer for the $100 million series dropped today, with the couple sharing an intensely personal reel of never before seen photos including several of the duchess crying. 

Calling the Sussexes 'unpredictable', Mr Fitzwilliams said that the trailer's release was 'obviously timed to take away from the Wales' trip to Boston', adding that Meghan and Harry 'like control their narrative'. 

'The timing draws attention away from William and Catherine's visit to Boston, which is highly prestigious,' he said. 'William is launching the Earthshot Prize and meeting Biden, which is very very prestigious.' 

Mr Fitzwilliams said their trip had already been 'overshadowed' by the race row that saw the late Queen's chief lady-in-waiting - and also Prince William's godmother Lady Susan Hussey - resign after being accused of racially insulting Sistah Space founder Ngozi Fulani and refusing to believe she was British.

Saying that the timing of trailer release was 'certainly unhelpful', he continued: 'If you look at it, it would appear there's a lot for the Palace to be concerned on. What will they reveal?

'There's one [photo] where Meghan looks distressed, what is the context behind that? What will they reveal about the way they believe they were treated by the Royal Family?'


Prince of Wales to meet Joe Biden on last day of his trip to Boston 

The Prince of Wales will meet US President Joe Biden on the final day of his trip to Boston.

William will be greeted by Mr Biden during a visit to the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on Friday, ahead of the Earthshot Prize ceremony in the evening.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's three-day trip to the US has been overshadowed by the growing race row engulfing the future King's godmother, which has left the monarchy accused of being institutionally racist.

Lady Susan Hussey has resigned from her role in the royal household and apologised after she repeatedly questioned Ngozi Fulani, a prominent black British-born domestic abuse charity boss, about where she 'really came from' during a Buckingham Palace reception.

On Thursday, the prince remained focused on his Earthshot prize as he met budding environmental tech entrepreneurs at Greentown Labs near Boston and issued a warning, saying: 'For all of us the time is ticking.'

As he chatted to some of last year's award finalists William praised them for their ground-breaking work, adding: 'As time goes by I keep saying: 'Come on we've got to move faster and faster.'

The prince's estranged brother, the Duke of Sussex, and his wife are not expected to attend the environmental awards on Friday but on the second day of the Waleses' first overseas trip since the death of the Queen, the trailer for Harry and Meghan's Netflix docu-series was released.

The one-minute film featured never-before-seen private photographs of the couple, who live in California, and in one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress.

A Kensington Palace spokesman reiterated comments made ahead of the trip that the Waleses would not be 'distracted' by other things this week and their focus was on meeting communities and local people across Boston.

The couple looked relaxed and were greeted by cheers from the crowds as they arrived at Greentown Labs, a tech hub which has been nurturing a community of climate pioneers for more than a decade.

In a contrast to the drama in the UK, there was a lighter moment during the visit when the couple met eight-year-old Henry Dynov-Teixeira who was dressed as a guardsman in replica scarlet tunic and bearskin.

The youngster handed Kate a bunch of red roses and said he was 'thrilled' to meet the royals in person.

William and Kate also visited Boston's windswept waterfront in temperatures that felt well below freezing due to the windchill.

The prince and princess heard about the history of the waterfront, much of it built on manmade land and now in danger of being reclaimed by the sea.
