この日、キャサリン妃が、
イングランドはウェストサセックス州、パルバラを訪問
移動に困難を抱え、そうでなければ移動に苦労することになる
地域の人々を支援するこの地域交通団体に
注目を集めるための取り組みの一環である
「ウェスト・サセックス・ミニバス」
のチームに合流
そして、一緒に 毎週水曜日に開かれている、
ランチ会に参加
同時に、この地域で行われているサポートや
コミュニティについて学ばれました。
ランチ会への移動に困難を抱える参加者たちを
ミニバスで迎えに行くといった、地域サービスが提供されていて
その視察も兼ねて、キャサリン妃も一緒にバスに。
近隣の通りから
参加者数人をミニバスでお迎えに
途中、歩行器を使ってバスに乗り込むシニア女性を、
キャサリン妃は、後ろから見守るようにサポート
移動中、バスの中では、キャサリン妃が
自身の失敗談について告白
このような外出の際、
どうしても忘れがちなものが一つあると冗談を言った。
「皆いつも私の後を走ってきて、『ハンドバッグを忘れたよ』って叫ぶんです」
と、笑いながら語った。
キャサリン妃が管理に苦労しているのは
ハンドバッグだけではない。
以前、ポッドキャスターの
《ジョヴァンナ・フレッチャー》に
「いつも携帯電話をなくしてしまう」と打ち明けていた。
「彼女は、スマホの管理が極端に苦手だと私に話していました」
とジョヴァンナは『ザ・タイムズ』紙に語った。
「彼女はいつもスマホをなくしてしまうんです。
その年のクリスマスプレゼントはすべて、
スマホをなくさないようにするためのものばかりでした。
すべてが『スマホをなくさない』というテーマだったんです。」
しかし、この
キャサリン妃の物忘れは、
2024年にがんの闘病中に受けた、
化学療法の副作用だった可能性が高いという。
2026年6月、ザ・クリスティNHS財団トラストを訪問した際
キャサリン妃は、この時期に直面した認知機能の変化の中で
最も困難だったものの一つとして、
集中力が持続しないことを明かした。
During
their chat, Kate joked that there was one thing she could never
remember to bring with her on outings like this. "Everyone always runs
after me [shouting], 'You forgot your handbag,'" the brunette beauty
laughed.
Her
handbag is not the only thing that Kate struggles to keep track of; she
previously shared with podcaster Giovanna Fletcher that she was always
losing her phone.
"She told me that she was notoriously bad at keeping an eye on her phone," Giovanna told The Times. "She
always loses her phone. All of her Christmas presents that year were
related to her keeping track of her phone. It was all about her not
losing her phone."
Kate's forgetfulness was likely a side effect of the chemotherapy treatment she received amid her cancer battle in 2024.
One
of the most difficult cognitive changes that she dealt with during this
time was her inability to focus, as she shared during a visit to The
Christie NHS Foundation Trust in June 2026.

事前には公表されていなかったものの
知らせが広まると、ホールの外には
すぐに多くの人々が集まったそう
ここでも、やはり
丁寧に一人一人と触れ合うかの如く
交流をされていたキャサリン妃
小さな子供達や、一家の愛犬と同じ犬種
コッカースパニエル犬もいたようで
声をかけて耳を撫でられたキャサリン妃
また、沿道に集まった人の中に、
母の体調が優れない女性がいて
なんと、FaceTimeで、その母親と会話をされたキャサリン妃
ロイヤルメンバー、皇太子妃、未来の王妃
として完璧ですねえ
地元の人たちの、キャサリン妃評は
大絶賛、といった様子でした。

Speaking with an elderly lunch group in Pulborough, Kate also explained that their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis help out too.
She had been in Pulborough for the weekly Wednesday lunch, having arrived on a minibus service after collecting some of the diners from neighbouring streets.
At the village hall yesterday, she first sat down at a table with lively Lynda Jones, 75, who had her in fits of giggles. The princess told her: 'I love washing up. I really do.'
'Oh good, a volunteer,' joked another guest. Asked whether William helped, she said: 'He does the drying. We are a good double act. And we get the children involved.'
Despite the princess's trip to the heart of rural Sussex being kept secret in advance, a crowd soon gathered outside the hall as word spread about her visit.
Kate's route to the car taking her home became lined with charity workers, mothers with toddlers and passers-by, all eager to catch a glimpse of the princess.
And Kate was more than happy to spend time meeting them all – shaking every hand, helping a toddler to jump and speaking to a poorly mother on FaceTime.
The future queen also cooed over a cocker spaniel and stroked its ears, while locals lined up to tell her how she does a 'fabulous job' and is 'such a role model'.

これにより、一気に若々しくなった。
