約2000万人に繋がる
全UKのラジオ局で
動画メッセージが放送された。
約1分のメッセージには
ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃も参加
他には、英国のプロボクサーやサッカー選手
俳優にポップシンガーも参加
多くのボランティア達を含め、
メンタルヘルスの認知を広めつつ
コロナウイルス禍の最中
”声に出して心のうちを話そう”
”独りじゃない”
と訴えかけられた。
こういう時だからこそ、
今までに増して大切だ。。。

Mental Health Awareness Week 2020: Mental Health Minute
It was amazing to help kick off Mental Health Awareness Week with the Mental Health Minute, connecting over 20 million people on every radio station in the UK.
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, every year the UK comes together for Mental Health Awareness Week to drive change towards a society that helps people and communities live mentally healthy lives. The theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 is kindness.
The Mental Health Minute was produced by Radiocentre and Heads Together, the mental health campaign coordinated by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
During Mental Health Awareness Week, Heads Together will champion the work of its eight charity partners, who have decades of experience in tackling the stigma around mental health in the UK – including The Anna Freud Centre, Best Beginnings, CALM, Contact, Mind, Place2Be, The Mix and Young Minds.
It comes days after the one-year anniversary of Heads Together's legacy project, Shout, a free text messaging service which provides 24/7 support for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis.
'We're all connected. And sometimes just talking about how you're feeling can make a big difference. So right now, let's join together across the UK and reach out to someone.'

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge urged listeners to speak out about their mental health in a radio broadcast this morning. The message was recorded in their Norfolk home
The Duke of Cambridge said:
'We're all connected. And sometimes just talking about how you're feeling can make a big difference. So right now, let's join together across the UK and reach out to someone.'

England captain Kane, 26, filmed his short contribution from his office at home
Actor David Tennant recorded his message from a garden
pop star Dua Lipa
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined for the one minute message by England captain Harry Kane, singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, and actor David Tennant, as well as inspiring mental health advocates, ambassadors and volunteers from our charity partners who all came together to voice this important message.
Jason Knauf, Chief Executive of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, said:
'As we feel the effects of Covid-19 on the nation's mental health, we will need to support one another more than ever.
'We will all need to feel more confident in reaching out for support if we need it and checking in on our loved ones. By bringing together the power of radio and social media, we're delighted to help people connect to one another, and to access reliable, trusted information and resources from our charity partners.
'These remarkable projects from Radiocentre and Instagram show that, despite being apart, no-one needs to face these challenges alone.'

開催されていたはずの
”チェルシー・フラワー・ショー 2020”
1913年から始まり
今年で117年
コロナウイルス・パンデミックにより、
今年、初めて中止に。
そんな中
やはり、ここでも別の形で続行を試みた！
ホント、そういうところが英国のスゴイところ。
しかも、時代にあった、
バーチャルでの開催！
そして、
主催者”王立園芸協会”のパトロンである
エリザベス女王やロイヤルファミリーも協力！！
王室絡みのイベントだけに
こういう時にも王室がお手伝い。
無敵だなあ〜
パトロン制度って、
平等でない見方もあるかもしれないが
逆に言えば、
少なくとも救える組織もあるわけで。
日本もこうすればいいのにねえ〜
パトロンになって頂けるよう、
頑張ルところは、頑張る、って思うが。。
ま、そんな大それた内容はさておき
フラワーショー開催の3年後
1916年に、
クイーン・メアリー（メアリー・オブ・テック）が
最初に訪問され
王立園芸協会のパトロンに。
君主としては、
それ以来、ほぼ毎年訪問されているほど
お気に入りのイベント。
そんな歴史のあるイベントが
初めて、オンラインで開催！
5月18日〜23日
通常ならVIPデーの初日
メンバーズ限定ですが、
今回はそれもなくオープンの模様。
でも登場する方々がVIPということか、、、

私たちが取り入れられる、実践的なアドバイスなどもあるようです。

On the occasion of the Opening of the Virtual Chelsea Flower Show 2020, I send my best wishes to all those associated with the Royal Horticultural Society.
My family and I have always enjoyed visiting the Show, and I know that your Members and Supporters will be disappointed that they are unable to attend in person this year.
As Patron of the Royal Horticultural Society, I was pleased to hear that you will be providing gardening advice and virtual sessions on your website, from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd May.
I am sure that my grandmother, Queen Mary, who first attended the Chelsea Flower Show in 1916, would be delighted that many people today have an enthusiasm for horticulture, and that gardening remains a popular pastime in the United Kingdom.
As you adapt to the present circumstances, I hope you find this unique event enjoyable and interesting.
