ロンドンは、
ロイヤル・ランカスター・ホテルに到着

ハリー王子＆メーガン妃が揃って

”WellChild Awards”

に出席！

2007年から
ハリー王子がパトロンとなられているチャリティ
WellChild

重病を抱える子供達や若者たち自身や

その家族、

また、

病気やヘルスケアの専門家たちなど

周りに貢献し、素晴らしい行動をした人々を讃える授与式

それぞれのカテゴリー別に表彰

one of the highlights of the calendar every year, and WellChild is a charity that has truly touched Harry's, and now Meghan's, hearts.
Harry has been moved by the "inspirational" children and young people he's met since he became Patron in 2007.

到着後
授賞式の前に
受賞者の子供達とお会いに。

中には
同じジンジャーヘアの女の子と
"snap!"
また、そのあと、ハリー王子が
「ちょっと借りれる？」なんてジョークも（笑）

ウィリアム王子を常にバカにしていた
ハリー王子までも、
ついに、薄毛で自虐することにw

少女の母も、髪つながりで、
アーチー君の髪もジンジャーかと質問
ナイスですね〜（笑）
その答えは、メーガン妃が
「彼の眉毛でわかりますよ」と。

メインの授賞式では、
ハリー王子が、スピーチの途中で
昨年の同イベント出席から、
一年後には、父となった話から
妊娠が判明した頃を思い出し
言葉がつまり、感情的になられ、
嗚咽とともにうつむき、
涙すると行ったシーンも。。

メーガン妃との結婚や、
父となったことが
どれだけハリー王子に大きかったかを実感。

ファッション〜〜！！！

まず印象的だったのは、、、
コート肩掛け、、、、
久々のセレブ感たっぷりで登場

おしゃれとしては理解できるが
じゃあ、これの意味は何？とふと
なんのため？
きちんとも見えず、
偉そう感は感じるが
動いて落ちたら、より美しくないし
ロイヤルとして、
プラスの理由が見つからない。
個人的に賛成できないな〜、
これは。

スタイリストとしては、
きっと異例だと思うけど。
雑誌の中だけね、これが素敵に見えるのは。
もしくは、
座ってて寒い時だけw

が、
全身のファッションとしては
やはり、お洒落でございます。

お上品でエレガント！！

ベージュ、グリーン、コニャック
という、カラーコーデがセンス良い。

以前も、このパンプス着用の際
同様のカラーコーデでしたね。
このパンプスを買うところがそもそも上級だが
使い方もよくご存知。

お洋服＆靴は、着回し

ピアス＆バッグと
小物はニューアイテム

しかも、
ボックス型のべっ甲バッグ、
なんともメーガン妃らしい選択！

持ち手がシルクのスカーフと
さすが、バッグ好きだけある。

去年、初めて
この授賞式に出席された時には
黒のパンツスーツで、ビックリしたが
今年はしっくり、ロイヤルらしいとも言えるスタイル
肩掛けがなければねえ、、しつこいw

1年経って、
なんだかロイヤルらしく進化されたような、、、気も。

The WellChild Awards celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country’s seriously ill young people and the dedication of those who go the extra mile to keep children healthy and happy, including the outstanding health, social care and education professionals. The Awards play a huge part in highlighting what these families need, and the support that is desperately needed to meet the ever-increasing demand.

joined guests for a pre-ceremony reception where they met the young winners of each award category and their families, and the nominated healthcare professionals

with Lyla Rose, winner of one of the Most Inspirational Child awards. WellChild shared the following on this amazing little girl. "Six year-old Lyla-Rose from Durham has undergone multiple surgeries for a life threatening brain tumour. Her ongoing condition leaves her with extreme fatigue at times and limits the activities she can partake in. Despite long stays in hospital which have interrupted normal life, she has shown much care and consideration for others. She always has a smile on her face and a kind word to say. As well as fundraising for local charities, Lyla-Rose, along with her sister Lilley, has created a Facebook page called Lyla and Lilley’s Stars which gives out certificates to celebrate other children coping bravely with illness and treatments. Lyla-Rose inspires everyone to look at the positives in their lives."

Another very worthy winner, Dexter. WellChild said: "Dexter is a shy six year-old from Devon who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2018. He has blossomed over the course of his treatment and hasn’t complained once. In the first week of diagnosis Dexter drew a picture of himself with his sister under a rainbow and gave himself no hair after hearing discussions about side effects. This was then made into a t-shirt design and was sold in its hundreds raising a significant amount of money for charity."

William Jones told the couple about caring for his younger brother James who has complex medical needs and an undiagnosed genetic disease. When James is in hospital Will visits every night.

Emmie said that she told Meghan 'you look amazing and you've just had a baby'.

She continued: He looked at her and went "See I told you!" in a way that we would...It did feel like they were very down to earth.'

A high five for Oakley Orange. Reading the background on all the children awarded is honestly very humbling. Despite being faced with some of life's worst challenges, they prevail with positivity and a determination to help others.

'Milly received WellChild’s Most Caring Child Award for having cared for and protected her sister Sophie, who had Aicardi Syndrome and tragically passed away in 2018.

The Duke then asked 'can I borrow some?' as he touched his thinning hair

Milly, 11, who was with her mother Angela, 50, asked if Archie was a red head
Angela said that Meghan, 38, confirmed he was - 'you can see it in his eyebrows'

Angela said: "She took him to one of these baby classes today and she said they had loads of fun together. She said it was really good fun."

'Harry said he'd had no hair for five months but Meghan told him she had taken him to the playgroup and she said there were other children there with the same amount of hair or even less.'

"Last year when my wife and I attended we knew we were expecting our first child - no one else did at the time, but we did - and I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tight during the awards - both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day and more so, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time. And now, as parents, being here and speaking to all of you pulls at my heart strings in a way I could have never understood until I had a child of my own."

The Duke choked up at the awards in London when talking about being a father

The Duke took to the stage to talk about how he knew at last year's event his wife Meghan was pregnant.

But as he spoke he choked back tears and had to stop his speech, with host Gaby Roslin stepping in to pat him on the back before the crowd cheered at him.
