for Day 1 of the German State Visit
この日、🇩🇪ドイツ大統領夫妻が
英国を公式訪問
🇬🇧王室にとって、今年３回めの要人訪問
7月のフランス🇫🇷
9月の米国🇺🇸
そして、12月はドイツ🇩🇪
ここまで多いのは、英国王室としても珍しいこと
それだけ世界情勢や、欧州関係が重要ということの表れですねえ
そして、今回のドイツですが
なんと、大統領夫妻の訪英は30年ぶりらしい、、、
歴史的には色々あるが
🇬🇧英国王室は、ドイツに深いルーツ繋があり
ご存知、ヴィクトリア女王の夫
アルバート王子(公爵)は、ザクセン＝コーブルク＝ゴータ家出身
19世紀にヴィクトリア女王が、
アルバート王子と結婚されたことで
ウィンザー家の血筋には、ドイツの血が、、
それを含め、歓迎から晩餐会まで
ドイツへの想いが感じられる英国王室外交でした。
まずは、恒例

夜には晩餐会が開かれます✨
皇太子妃として、大統領夫妻を迎える
この時のキャサリン妃ファッションは
全身、ブルー系でまとめた
クールでスタイリッシュなスタイル
ドレスコートは、2023年のクリスマス礼拝でデビューしたもので
帽子もその時と同じ
翌年の年明けに、ご病気発覚で
2024年は、この病気前の、最後の画像ということで
露出が多かったので、印象に残るけれど、

一見黒に見えるけど、実はダークネイビーのドレスは
どうやら、ノースリーブのオリジナルをアレンジしたビスポークで

それに着けられたのは
５連のパールネックレス
今年年明けにデビューし、何度も着用されてるお気に入りの
ビンテージのネックレスが、ここでも登場
私は、ドレスの色がダーク過ぎ
一見、喪服かとすら思ってしまったわ、、
その他
ピアスは、サファイア＆ダイヤモンドのドロップ型
《ダイアナ妃のもの》
クラッチは、《エミー・ロンドン》
ブーツ《ジャンヴィト・ロッシ》
と使い回し
全身、ブルーのシックでエレガントな装いでした。
なぜ、中のドレスが綺麗な色でなくネイビーなのか？
それも、昨今のキャサリン妃のシック傾向の表れか、、、
個人的には、リアルクローズ過ぎて、庶民的だしつまらない。
一方で、髪がライトなブロンドだから
地味にはならないという利点もあり
だからシックな色ならば、納得だが。。
ちなみに、この時のヘアがストレート！
で新鮮だった。
ブロンドの美しさも、際立つちますねえ❤️

wife at Heathrow before travelling with them to Windsor Castle

a wedding gift from the 'Ladies of North Wales' to Princess Alexandra of
Denmark when she married the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII,
in 1863. It was later given to the Queen Mother and then Diana when she
married Charles, then the Prince of Wales, in 1981.
The pendant is made of 18 round cut diamonds with small emeralds around the Prince of Wales feathers heraldic badge. A detachable cabochon emerald hangs from the bottom.

王族方は、ティアラ＆ドレス姿です❤️
キャサリン妃は、NEWの
ブルーの煌めく、ケープガウンをチョイス！
🇬🇧発《ジェニー・パッカム》のビスポーク
アシメトリーの襟のデザインが私は、どうもイマイチ、、、
このデザイナーが、やっぱり、あまり好きではないなあ、、💦
そして、ここでもまた、なぜブルー？と疑問が湧いたが
ベルリンブルー(紺青色)からイメージされた？と推測
皇太子ご夫妻の鉄板カラーでもあるので
使い勝手は良い色だけどねw
ケープのデザインも、鉄板化してきたね、、、
こうなってくると新鮮味が、とも思うが
色々、ここ数年試した結果が、これ、という感がしなくも。

実は、ぱっと見で
ブルーのドレスに、なぜ、
ルビーのこのティアラ⁉️と思ったんだけれど
この
🇩🇪ドイツにゆかりあり！！
というか、このティアラは
アルバート王子が
ヴィクトリア女王へ贈られたもの‼️❤️
王室御用達ジュエラー、ガラードが、
アルバート公からの依頼を受け
1853年に製作
ダイヤモンドとルビーによる、蓮の花と、ムガール帝国のアーチをデザイン
ダイヤモンドとルビーによる、ロータス(蓮の花)といえば
これまでにキャサリン妃が着用された、他のティアラのモチーフでもありましたね。
きと、皇太子妃のお気に入りモチーフ、でもあるのでしょう
ヴィクトリア女王の着用はもちろん、
長女も着用されるも、アレンジが加えられ
その後、クイーンマザーのお気に入りとして、愛用
次いでエリザベス女王は、というと
なんと、2005年に一度だけ。
ということで、今回
20年ぶりにこのティアラが公の場にお目見えしたことに！！
キャサリン妃にとっては、
これが5個目のティアラとなりますが、
これまでで最も大きなサイズですね
皇太子妃となられて、早3年が経ち、
こんな大きなティアラを着用されるようになったのね、、
と感慨深い、、
自信という、意識変化や成長(なんぞも感じられますが
しかしながら、やっぱティアラは人を選ぶのか、、？！
と思った次第
🇬🇧英国やネット上で、この日のドレス＆ティアラ姿が大絶賛なんですけどね
その裏で、私は、こんなツッコミを、、💦
なぜなら、気付いてしまった、、、
ティアラが曲がってない⁉️
通常、正面から見て中心にシンメトリー、まっすぐ並行に着用
だと思うんだが
キャサリン妃の場合、ティアラが向かって左に下がって見える。。。
ご夫妻での記念ショットでも、やや怪しさがはあるし
それ以上に、晩餐会のシーンでは、乾杯の時とか歪んで見える
あえて⁉️、、、いやいや、そんなことはあるわけない‼️
しかも、レアなバックショット画像を、見てみると、
どうやら、後ろのループ部分に髪を巻き付けて留めていらっしゃるのがわかる。
それ以外のところで留められそうな箇所も無さげ、、、。
キャサリン妃の頭頂部にそのまま、乗せてるだけのようにも、、
だとしたら、なかなか安定しない可能性大、、。
更には、本来ティアラの裏側、というか
留めてるっぽい部分が見えて良いのか、、、なんだか違和感
というのも
そもそもが、ティアラにはアップ、が基本
頭頂部や前髪にボリュームを持たせ、
高さをつけたところにティアラを乗せるのがベターで
女王やアン王女など、シニアの皆様を見ても、そう。
これまでも、晩餐会ではキャサリン妃はアップだったのに
なぜかこの日はダウンスタイル
よってボリュームもないし、ティアラを留め辛いはず、、
それも、位置がずれてきた原因かも？
実際、キャサリン妃もティアラ「ラヴァーズ・ノット」では
アップスタイルだし、その上にスッキリ着用。
しかも、この鉄板ティアラには、注視すると
ベルベットがつけられているため、髪を巻き込んで留めることも可能っぽい
ゆえに安定度はバッチリ。
定番ティアラ、であれば、こういったアレンジも可能でしょうが
今回お試し、の可能性もあるでしょうから、
そこまでの準備はされていないと思われる。
ちなみに、カミラ王妃、、、
同日の王妃のティアラ着用姿を見ると
ティアラ本体の下部に、台のようなものをプラスされた模様
しかも、これだけではなく、他のティアラにも、、、
恐らく、安定感と長時間にわたる被りやすさ(頭痛防止)を重視して、
なんでしょうが、見えちゃってるのは、、、どうなの？！
更には、この少し前には、2018年にユージェニー王女が結婚式で着用された
バンドゥ・ティアラを着用された王妃は
デザイン変更並みに、アレンジをプラス
あえてデザインに見せようとされている気がするけれど
エレガントには見えない、、、
きっと亡きエリザベス女王もお怒りではないかと、推測。
アン王女のご意見を聞きたい！
ユージェニー王女の画像、(正面＆横から)を見ると、
美しい！❤️まさに正解‼️が見える
前髪やアップでのボリュームをうまく生かして、ティアラの留め部分を一切見せない
アン王女然り、シニアの女性王族方は皆様、
このようにお着けになっている。
なにせ晩餐会は長いし、気を遣うし、
そんな場でティアラが不安定だと最悪、、、。
ましてや、絶対落とすわけにはいかない！！
今回キャサリン妃は、大丈夫だったかしら、、
さぞお疲れになったのでは、、なんて勝手に推測
国民が憧れる、艶々ボリューミーなヘアをおもちなのだから
今後はティアラの際にはぜひアップで
安定感ある、プリンセスらしい着用をお願いします。
ティアラは、顔の形や、ヘアスタイルの関係もありそうだし
難しいですね。
が、女王はなんでもお似合いだから
やはり生まれながらのプリンセスは違うんだなあ、、、

The Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings are from the Royal Collection.
The earrings were bequeathed to Queen Elizabeth by her friend Dame
Margaret Greville in 1942. Crafted by Cartier between 1918 and 1929,
these chandelier earrings boast an exquisite Art Deco design, fashioned
with modern cut diamonds and set in platinum. They were then gifted to
Princess Elizabeth as a wedding present in November 1947. Queen
Elizabeth II wore them regularly in the 1950s and 1960s.

『ラヴァーズ・ノット・ティアラ』
鉄板ティアラには、
よ〜く見ると、ヴェルベットが
『Queen
Victoria’s Oriental Circlet Tiara』
also known as the Garrard Oriental
Circlet Tiara or the Indian Circlet Tiara. Commissioned in 1853 by
Prince Albert, the piece is one of the oldest tiaras that Garrard
created for the royal family. Notably, it is only the fifth tiara the Princess of Wales has ever worn—and it definitely made a statement.
“The Oriental Circlet is an extraordinary example of both artistry and technical skills,” Claire Scott, the Design and Development Director at Garrard, said in a statement. “Designed for opals and later adapted for rubies, its evolution reflects not only the changing tastes of its royal custodians but the craftsmanship and precision that define Garrard. Adjusting the arches and replacing the stones required exceptional finesse, a flexibility in design that remains central to our work today, whether creating bespoke jewels or reimagining heritage pieces for new generations.”
It was commissioned by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria.
In 1853, Prince Albert commissioned Garrard, then the Crown Jeweler, to create the tiara for his wife Queen Elizabeth. In 1853, Garrard’s ledger read, “Making a Diamond Tiara of Oriental design with Opal centres. The outer frame ornament and the spires and such Ornaments made to remove with screw springs and the spires to be replaced by large single Diamonds to complete the Ornament when a lighter and more simple Tiara is required.”
In her will, Queen Victoria reportedly stipulated that the Oriental Circlet should only be worn by queens and future queens. To this day, it remains the only tiara designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in the royal collection.
Rubies replaced the opals in 1902.
In 1901, Queen Victoria’s daughter-in-law Queen Alexandra inherited the
tiara. According to Garrard, “superstitions surrounding opals saw her
return the circlet to Garrard in 1902 with a request to replace the
stones with a collection of Burmese rubies given to Queen Victoria as a
gift from the ruler of Nepal in the 1870s. It is also noted in our Royal
Ledger that while the opals were being replaced, some of the arches
were also removed to make the tiara smaller. Despite this, she is
believed to have only worn it once on a state visit to Germany.” (The
