公開されたのは、この日ですが、

実際に行われたのは

この週の火曜日。

キャサリン妃が、お一人でZoom公務に。

先日は、夫妻揃って

緊急事態要員の人々とのミーティングを行われましたが

今度は

ナースの皆さんと。

イングランドはウェストミッドランズにある

”ユニバーシティ・ホスピタル・コヴェントリー＆ウォーリックシャー NHS Trust“

のナース達とミーティング

ここでは、2400人以上のナースや助産師達が働いていて

世界で最初にワクチン接種が施行されたところ。

キャサリン妃といえば

2018年2月から

”Nursing Now”

のロイヤルパトロンでしたね〜。

それゆえ、納得のミーティング。

コロナ禍の中

ナースや助産師達が

どのように働いているのかをお聞きになったり

感謝の気持ちを伝えられました。

During the call, Kate says, “You hear time and time again about the amazing things nurses up and down the country are doing – going that extra mile. It’s the things that are not part of the training […] but the things that come from your heart, and I think that’s what matters so much now: these acts of kindness to the patients you’re looking after.”

キャサリン妃は、

「国内がアップ＆ダウンする中、皆さん（ナース達）がさらなる努力をしているということを、重ね重ね聞いています。それらはトレーニングの一環ではなくて、、、しかし貴方方の心からの行為です。貴方達が世話をしている患者への優しさゆえの行為という、今の状況の中でとても重要なことだと私は思います。」

中には、リタイアしたナースお二人も。

40年の勤務後、3年前にリタイアされるも、今回のコロナ・パンデミックにより復帰。

ケアホームやコミュニティで

ワクチン接種を行なっているのだそうです。

こういうことが容易に出来るのも、きっと

英国のNHS（国民健康サービス）システムゆえですねえ。

国家公務員的な立場だもんなあ。。

また、注目を集めたのは

シニアナースの男性の経験談。

残念ながら、死を目前にしている男性の妻から

夫の側で付き添えない代わりに

シニア・ナースの男性に

”ボンジョビ”の歌を歌ってほしい”と言われたのだけれど

”僕の言葉にはアクセントがあるから”と演奏をされたのだとか。

これを聞き、キャサリン妃は

笑みを浮かべながら、お褒めの言葉を。

一瞬、私は

「ん？！いいの、そんな実話を笑みで会話して」

と思いましたが、これも文化の違いですねえ。

亡くなる、という状況を粛々と捉えるというより、

その時、何をしたか、相手の希望に応える、

というところにフォーカスされている。。

正直私自身も、こっちがいいけれど、

他人のこととなるとそうは言えない。

なんとこの日、キャサリン妃がZoomミーティングをされていた場所が

エリザベス女王のサンドリンガム・ハウス！！！

どうやら女王が、

この二度目のロックダウン中

ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃へ

オフィスとして

使用を許可された模様。

そうよね、、ケンジントンパレスはロンドンだし

今回は、前回までの経験を生かして、

近場でオフィスを仮設置されたというわけね。。

これまた臨機応変で、素晴らしい。

お子様達も自宅学習だし

ここなら、お仕事に集中できるしね〜。

それにしても

どんどんお立場が上に、、、、というのも否めない事実ですね。

コロナ禍を機に。。。

そして、最後はファッション！

やはりね〜〜〜

ほら、お仕事モードは

モノトーンスタイルが増えてきた。。。

しかも、黒のジャケット＋白のブラウスという

シャープなスタイル！

ブランド詳細は不明なんだけど

もしや、このジャケット

着回しだったり？！？！

自然史博物館の授与式でお召しになっていた

《アレキサンダー・マックイーン》

のジャケットと肩のラインは、

やっぱ似てるんだよね〜

でもあれはタキシードのデザイン。

今回は、ふさわしくないけど

でもブラウスで襟の部分隠れてる、、、

あり得るっちゃーあり得そう、キャサリン妃の場合。

そんでもって、

このジャケット＋白ブラウス

メーガン妃もこんなスタイルを、、、

これも影響かも（笑）

ま、どうであれ、ご自分のものにされてるから

もはやキャサリン妃スタイルね。

お似合いです❤️

なかなか素敵

そういえば、、、

キャサリン妃の髪がめっちゃ伸びましたね〜〜！！

自粛で髪も切られていないのだろうし

もしくは、ロックダウンをキッカケに伸ばすことに、かも。

なにせロング人生、のプリンセスだけに

間違いなくお似合い。

そして、コロナ禍にピッタリな

お手軽＆ナチュラルなヘアスタイルでございます。

親近感感じまくり、ですね。

During the call, Kate says,

The Duchess talked about the vital part nurses play in combatting the pandemic, especially with the vaccine rollout. She spoke with Caroline Rudd and Judith Smith, two retired nurses who first met during nurses’ training back in 1978. Both returned to the NHS to help with vaccinations in care homes.

They told the Duchess they were proud to respond to the NHS for people to re-join the workforce and help with delivering vaccines.

“I’m supposed to be retired, I left nursing three years ago after 40 years with the NHS, but when the pandemic came along I felt the need to come back and I’m currently working as part of a vaccinations team out in the community.”

the royal patron of Nursing Now, a campaign created to raise the profile of nurses worldwide while also enabling them to have a greater role in making key health policy decisions.

She was announced as the patron in February 2018;

talked about why Nursing Now is important to her.

This campaign means a lot to me personally. My great-grandmother and grandmother were both volunteer nurses… they would have learned first-hand from working with the Voluntary Aid Detachment and the Red Cross about the care and compassion that sometimes only nurses can provide.
