『Hereford(ヘレフォード)訪問』
Herefordshire, a picturesque ceremonial county in the West of England is famous for its idyllic countryside, historic buildings, Hereford beef cattle, its apple and pear orchards, and of course cider production.

皇太子となり、
コーンウォール公領を相続されたウィリアム皇太子
この日は、ウィリアム皇太子が
今後どのようにコーンウォール公国を管理されていくかを
示すべく計画された登場に。
それにキャサリン皇太子妃も同行
ヘレフォードを訪れ、数カ所を訪問

began with a private visit to Stirling Lines,
which is home to several SAS regiments. The Prince and Princess spent time meeting with families. The Special Air Service (SAS) is a special forces unit of the British Army. The SAS has been based at Hereford for many years. Stirling Lines is named after Scottish officer, mountaineer and SAS creator, David Stirling. Following a period of active service in the Second World War, Stirling was captured in 1943 and spent the remainder of the war as a prisoner.

Kensington Palace noted:
"Following struggles with their own mental wellbeing and seeing the stigma around mental health in the farming industry, Sam and Emily founded We Are Farming Minds, a charity working to support the mental health of farmers in rural communities throughout the county. It offers Herefordshire farmers fully funded access to a range of services including counselling, a 24-hour phone and text support line, free mental health awareness workshops and social events throughout the year to break feelings of isolation."
"The Duchy of Cornwall is working closely with We are Farming Minds to enhance its new Mental Health Strategy which provides ongoing mental health support to all its tenants, with a specific focus on tenants in rural and more isolated communities."

最近、どんどんシックになってますねえ。。
あえて、でしょうが、
華も欲しい。

The Prince and Princess of Wales showed off their woodworking skills during a visit to an outdoor school in Hereford. William and Kate joined school children at Madley Primary School’s Forest School, where they watched the youngsters prepare lunch and spoke to teachers. Prince William had a go at whittling a stick before he was joined by Kate to saw a piece of wood together. The royal pair were then impressed with a den built by the children; Kate even climbed inside for a closer inspection.

'William and Kate were presented with three wooden heart-shaped discs with the school motto “Be the best you can be" to take back home for their children by Lucy and Tomas, both 10, along with three books on mindfulness. The royal couple also joined pupils under a canopy made from a parachute where they were making apple, cinnamon and sugar skewers to toast on a fire. "It’s like a healthy marshmallow," said Kate. "It always tastes so much better whenever you cook something on the fire. I’ve seen 1000 marshmallows around the fire but I’ve never seen a sugar-dipped apple. I’m going to try this with my kids."'
William donned safety gloves but Kate kindly declined the offer as she injured her hand on a trampoline, saying,
"I can’t even put that on because I’ve got two fingers stuck together."

William gets stuck in as she checks out the den in the woods while on a visit to the primary school

'It smells delicious,' added William.
She was told children learn how to start and maintain the fire from Year 6.
'These are really good skills to learn, to be able to keep warm, to feed yourselves,'
said the Princess.
'Is it nice learning here? It's so peaceful, isn't it? I could stay here all afternoon.'
The Prince seemed particularly taken by one called The Last Tree, by Luke Adam Hawker.
Others included The Circles All Around Us, by Brad Montague and Kindness Grows by Britta Teckentrup.
'Thank you, they love reading,' said Kate.
'Actually, it's a great way to stay learning about the environment.'

The Princess of Wales looked broody as she made a fuss of a baby while visiting Hereford with her husband Prince William this afternoon
As they met Sam, Emily and little George, Kate smiled and said:
'It's nice to meet another George.'
Emily quipped: 'I think he's more like your Louis temperament-wise!'
Later speaking to a group of farmers who have benefitted from the support of Sam and Emily's charity, the Princess asked:
'Do you wish you had this type of support back in the day?'
One replied that We Are Farming Minds was 'the best thing that ever happened' to him, which is why he now volunteers to help others going through a similar situation.
William was curious whether it had been tough for him to open up to Sam, asking:
'Did communicating your worries help?'
'So many farmers and so many farming communities are quite cut off from all these connections,' Kate observed of the isolated nature of the agricultural industry.
Speaking after their visit, Sam agreed, saying: 'Isolation is a big issue within the farming community so with their support I know we can keep our British agriculture going.'
Matthew Morris, the Rural Director of the Duchy, said: 'So far Prince WIlliam as our new Duke, it's been evolution rather than revolution, however, he's been very clear that mental health is one of his priorities.'
Speaking about why they had been inspired to start it, Sam said: 'A number of years ago, I went through a really bad time and made the decision that I don't want to be here anymore.'
Breaking down in tears, he continued: 'I just know how tough it is in the farming industry and the support I had was unbelievable.'
'When we moved to Hereford…we realised there was a real lack of mental health support, especially for the farming community, there was a massive stigma surrounding mental health,' Emily added.
It was announced on Thursday that William will put mental health schemes at the heart of his approach to running the Duchy going forward.
