『Chance UK's early intervention child mentoring programme』

@ Islington Town Hall, London

Chance UK is a charity which operates an early intervention programme to change the challenging behaviour of primary school-aged children through intensive individual mentoring and family support. It seeks to improve children's' lives by introducing greater stability and support, and engendering a sense of self-worth.

The programme works with children aged five to 11 who are at risk of developing anti-social or criminal behaviour, providing weekly one to one mentoring with a trained adult volunteer. These sessions work towards achieving defined goals that are specific to each child's needs, directly addressing the difficulties each child is experiencing. Over 200 children across six London boroughs benefit from Chance UK's programme each year.

During this engagement, The Duchess will gain an overview of the charity's work by meeting a selection of children enrolled on the Chance UK scheme, along with their parents and mentors. Her Royal Highness will then attend a reception celebrating the work of the charity and meet some of Chance UK's staff and supporters.

This engagement reflects The Duchess of Cambridge's particular interest in early intervention programmes, which provide specialist support to children and families at the earliest opportunity, to prevent the development of more serious problems in the future.

『open a new centre』
 @ St John's College, Cambridge University

 昨年、ここで
”12-week agriculture course”
の特別コースを取られましたね～

ここを訪問中、
ウィリアム王子が
子供たちのことを語られたそう。

以前、シャーロット王女誕生後には
his "little joy of heaven"
と仰っていましたが、
今回は
his daughter was very "very ladylike"
ベタ惚れですね♡
間違いない！

一方、
２才のお兄ちゃん、ジョージ王子については
"lively"

そして、もう一人（一匹）
ルポについても
” Lupo was good at messing up the lawn”
と、ジョークも。

生前ダイアナ元妃が
ローンチの支援をした
a bereavement charity
の21周年を記念したガラディナーに出席☆

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

 
母ダイアナ妃を亡くしたのは
ウィリアム王子が、１５才の時でした。。。

その後、亡き母の後を継ぎ
ここのパトロンとなられたウィリアム王子

そして今では、二児の父ともなり
 ますます、このチャリティに対しての想いが強くなられたようです。

‘What my mother recognised back then – and what I understand now – is that grief is the most painful experience that any child or parent can endure. 

'But my mother was determined to help those in need and she would have been immensely proud – as I am – of all that Child Bereavement UK has achieved.

‘When many people slink away at the sight of a friend’s bereavement, CBUK’s staff embrace strangers at the darkest moment in their life. 

'As a father to two young children, I now appreciate it all the more.'

 

William is the charity's royal patron, while Princess Diana's close friend

《キャサリン妃 ☆ ビルダーたちとea Break？！》 

キャサリン妃が
アンマーホールで、
ビルダーたちとお茶友？

ある日、
アンマーホールに戻ってきた
キャサリン妃に
家で仕事をしてくれていたビルダーが、
持参していた紅茶をすすめたのだとか。

それを、遠慮なく
というか、躊躇なく、ですね～
もらって飲まれたキャサリン妃が気に入り
それ以来、一緒にTea Break、、、
というウワサ(笑)

"The Sun" に語られたところによると、
通常は、家のオーナーが
仕事終わりにお茶を出すもの。
でも、キャサリン妃は、最初にもらったお茶が気にいって、
それ以降も もらったりもされてるとか？(笑)

いらっしゃる時は、
紅茶と共に、ビルダーと交流されていそうですね～
想像つくなあ、、

クイーンも
当然紅茶好き
毎日、
7:30, 4:00
に、ティーブレークを取られるとか。。
飲まれるのは
アールグレイや、ダージリンだとか。

「We are so happy and thankful that we had such a lovely christening for Nicolas. Leonore had a lot of fun and Nicolas was a bit overwhelmed!」










 最後に、
しみじみ

人から「一緒に仕事をしよ～よ！」と
言われることほど
有難く、嬉しいことはありません(;_;)

ヒトは、必要とされると、
とっても頑張れるのだと思います。

仕事だけじゃなく、
親という存在も、そうなんだろうな～
なんて思います。
 
ワタシには、子供はいないので、
もっと自己中ですが、
他のシチュエーションで
周りの皆様のおかげで、
頑張れているようなもの。

なかなか自分の為にだけでは
頑張れません。
すぐ泣き言を言いたくなります(笑)

しかし、
かつては、
（もっとも稼いでいた頃）は
毎日、何か新しいモノや高いものを買ったり
してた頃があって、
だけど、全然満たされた感じがしなくて、、、
確か、そんな時
ロンドンに出会って恋に落ちて
全部捨てて、住み始めた✈

戻ってからは、
一切ファッション本を見ず、
流行は無視し、今まできた。

そして、キャサリン妃のおかげで今があり
そして、
Pop-up shopなどの機会も頂いたりで、
ますます、
自分のものを増やすことには、
あまり興味がなく
 他人が楽しんでくれそうなものを探すことが楽しい♡

実は昔から、きっとそうだったんだけど。

皆さんの好意に甘えて
流れのまま流れてたら
気づいたら、叶ってた☆

何が凄いって
おかげで、ここ数年
めっきり物欲が抑えられております。

あとは、、、、
皆さんにだけはお分かりの
(笑)
