この週末は、
英国にとって重要な
第一次世界大戦の終結を記念する
『リメンバランス・デー』
（11月11日に最も近い日曜日）
国のために犠牲になった人々に敬意と追悼の意を捧げる日
その前日には、
退役軍人やその家族を支援する組織のチャリティの一環として
追悼フェスティバルが
ロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで開催されるのも
毎年恒例
その２つの行事に
キャサリン妃も出席！！
約１ヶ月ぶりのご公務なだけでなく
2日連日の公務は、なんと今年初めて！！
化学療養の終了のタイミングもあるけれど
それだけ、重要なイベントであることがうかがえます。
フェスティバルには、2015年以来（2020年のコロナ・パンデミック以外）毎年
追悼式典には、2011年の結婚以来毎年必ず出席されてきました。
それに先駆け、ショッキングなこともあり。
なんと、その週初めに
カミラ王妃が、肺感染症を患い、公務をキャンセル
その後、様子を見て、週末のビッグイベントへの可否を決めるとされていたが
結果、ドクター判断で、控えることに。
よって、チャールズ国王はお一人で。

と、減っていく感は否めないものの、
現在の高位メンバーが揃って出席となった。

Kate's paternal grandfather Captain Peter Middleton served as a fighter pilot during the Second World War. He died at the age of 90 just days before the Prince and Princess announced their engagement in 2010.

a 12-carat Ceylon sapphire surrounded by a cluster of 14 solitaire diamonds set in white gold
The ring was designed by the crown jeweller Garrard and inspired by the sapphire and diamond cluster brooch that was made for Prince Albert in 1840, which he went on to gift Queen Victoria as a wedding present and she wore it as her 'something blue'.
At the time, it was referred to as the 'commoner's sapphire' as the ring was available in the Garrard's catalogue, meaning that anyone could have purchased it for £47,000.
But Princess Diana loved her engagement ring so much that she continued to wear it after her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996

かなり華やかデザインのファシネーターだが
コートをリフォームされたことで、
帽子との相性もバッチリ
本来のキャサリン妃らしいスタイルになったという感じですね。
前のシャープも好きではあったが、、、

前夜が、ダイアナ妃のピアスなら
この日はエリザベス女王のピアス（バーレーン）をチョイス
この日のポピーは３つ
これは、
キャサリン妃の曽祖母の3人のご兄弟
（第一次世界大戦で戦死）への追悼とみられ
