meet the clinical supervisors, volunteers and fundraisers who keep the Shout mental health text service running
Kensington Palace said,
"Shout has seen usage on its platform increase by 140% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Duchess will hear how the service will need even more volunteers to join its ranks to ensure that it can meet this growing demand."

この日はお一人で。
でも公務内容は、
”ロイヤル・ファウンデーション”が立ち上げられた
”Shout”
のお仕事
”Shout”
は2019年5月に設立された
テキスト・メッセージを通じて、24時間のサポートを行うサービス。
米国で成功した、”Crisis Text Line“
が、大元で、連絡を取り、
ロイヤルファウンデーションが、
300万ポンドを出資し
医療系の専門家や、2500人以上の訓練を受けたボランティア達が
メンタルヘルスの問題と葛藤する人々と、
テキストを通じて対応をしている。
離脱前、まさに
ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃、
ハリー王子＆メーガン妃（当時）
の４人で活動が始まった、最もメジャーな活動、となるはずが
ご存知、離脱により、
今はウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃ご夫妻
お二人が、共同パトロンとして支援をされています。
約3年前のローンチから現在までに、なんと
英国内38万6000人の人々と
100万の会話がなされたのだそう。
コロナウイルス感染拡大以来、
その需要は、140％もアップしたのだとか。
納得だ、、、、
それを記念、というのも変な話だけれど、少なくとも、
それだけ、悩んでいる人達が声をあげることができ、
他人とのコミュニケーションがとれたというのは、
ポジティブな結果。
という意味でだと理解するが、
それで、キャサリン妃が、
この24時間プロジェクトに関わってくれている人々に
感謝の気持ちを伝え、
また、これまでのデータ分析の結果などをヒアリングされた。
滞在中、キャサリン妃は
データ分析の専門家達やボランティア達
資金調達者達など
”Shout”のメンタルヘルスサービスを運営してくれている
人達とお会いに。
どうやら、データから分析するに
人々がサポートを求める理由として
最も多いのが、自殺(34%)
落ち込み(32%)
不安やストレス(31%)
という結果も。
また、キャサリン妃は、
”Shout”のために、昨年1年間、野外でハンモックで寝るという
チャレンジによって、8000ポンド（約123万円）もの寄付を集めた
13歳のスカウトの少年にもお会いに。
なにせ、キャサリン妃もかつてはブラウニー
感心もひとしおでしょう。
少年の胸についている、スカウトのバッジに触れながら
「このスカウトバッジの大きさじゃ、到底足りないわね。
貴方がやり遂げたことは、本当に人々を勇気づけます。」
と賞賛のお言葉。
加えて、
「きっと暖かさを維持するための素晴らしい道具一式も持っているんでしょうね。」
なんて、もしや興味あり？！かもw
実際、少年は、厳しい状況でも耐えうる防水シート、
とやらに寝ていたそうですが、、、
とはいえ、、、、英国の寒さたるや。。。
夏でも夜は極寒、と私は感じたもん。
しかも少年、お次は、ハーフタームに
自転車でスコットランドまで行く、というチャレンジを考えているそう。
さすがですねえ、、、
年齢に関係なく、根づいている奉仕の精神に、つくづく感動だ。。
そして、キャサリン妃ファッション！！
今年、３度目となるのはどんなスタイル？
2連続、当然のごとく、コートスタイルでしたが
この日はドレス姿！！
一枚で寒くないですか？と思うも、
色は冬
脚元もロングブーツと
コートが無いだけで、しっかり冬コーデ。
しかも、見ている私にとっては、
アイテムが異なるだけで、飽きない（笑）
しかも、ニューアイテム！
ミリタリーグリーンをベースに、黒やブラウン系のレオパード柄の
ボウタイのドレス。
スカート部分にティアードの切り替えがあって、フェミニンなニュアンスがプラス。
驚くべきは、そのブランド
キャサリン妃にとっては初ブランドで、
米国の”デレ クラム 10 クロスビー”
本来、キャサリン妃っぽくないかも？なんだけど
こちらディフュージョンブランドなので、
デザインが着やすいタイプ。
このドレスを見て分かるように、
キャサリン妃らしいデザインですね。
実は、オリジナルでは、ベルトは付いていませんが、
キャサリン妃がアレンジで、
手持ちの黒のスエードベルトをお着けに。
ベルト無しでは、少しリラックス感があるドレスを、
ロイヤル風に、キッチリとした着こなしに。
キャサリン妃効果もあり？
もう売り切れてしまったけれど、
ちょうどセールになってて
安いところだと、
(£355 → £159)に。
きっと、セール買いじゃない？と推測してます（笑）
キャサリン妃、密かにレオパード柄お好きだもんな〜。
ピアスは、前回に続き、
またもプチプラ！！
以前からお持ちだった、
《ASOS》のものを使いまわし。
お値段、10ポンド（約1540円）
プレーンなツイストのフープのデザインは、何かと使える。
現在も再販中のようなので、
気になる方はチェック！
そして、この日も、、、と密かに思ったのが
クラッチが無い。
まあ、公務の邪魔とは言わないけれど
無くても、だけど
キャサリン妃には、手持ち無沙汰をごまかすアイテムだった(と読んでいる)
それを無くしたというのは、
覚悟や、自信の表れ、のように感じる。
とか言って、次回、普通にお持ちだったら、大間違い（笑）

それにしても、ダークカラーが続くね。。
40代となられて、これが今後の軸なのか、
それとも、単に冬だから？
こどちらにせよ、よりリアルクローズで、
SDGSを意識したファッションになることは
間違いないだろうでしょう。

Mental health support and resources across the UK have made significant strides over the last decade.

Since launch, Shout 85258 has taken 1 million (that’s 1,000,000) conversations with 386,000 people across the UK – with 4 in 10 texters seeking help for the first time.
Having met some of the incredible volunteers today to hear their stories and see how they facilitate conversations, it’s obvious how their supportive and empathetic approach helps people feel safe, calm and listened to.

Mark Ungless, 49, analytics experts told her that children as young 13 and under formed 8 per cent of their texts – mostly between 10pm and midnight
'I told the duchess we were surprised by the number of very young people reaching out and the time too. It needs addressing,' he said.

heard how insights from data are being used to provide a window into mental health in the UK today. The main reasons people have been reaching out seeking support are suicide (34%), depression (32%), and anxiety or stress (31%).

'The Duchess also spoke to Alexis, who became a Shout Volunteer at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and has since taken more than 250 conversations with people struggling to cope. Alexis told The Duchess how his new book, Queer Up (Walker Books), was inspired by his night shifts for Shout where he spoke to young people facing many of the same questions and challenges he did growing up as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Around 1 in 3 of our texters identify as LGB+.'

He told the Duchess his next fundraising adventure will be to cycle to Scotland during half term.'

In a first for William and Kate's KensingtonRoyal social media account, one of the first Shout Crisis volunteers will take over its Instagram Stories on Saturday 16 May, to share videos and answer Q&As in support of the campaign.
