'Kate and William, who were more often seen at Pizza Express in St. Andrews when they were college students nearly two decades ago, chose an upmarket contemporary restaurant "with a Scottish twist" when they dined out on Tuesday night. The couple stayed locally before their day of events in the town.
The pair, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last month, were shown to a corner table in a secluded area at the back of Forgan's restaurant with a security detail seated close by.
"When word went around, a crowd gathered at the front, but as far as inside was concerned it was quiet for them. People left them alone," one of the managers, Marc, tells PEOPLE. "There was no pomp and circumstance or fanfare."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to a rainy St Andrews University, 20 years after they met there as students. William and Kate sheltered under umbrellas before meeting current students and asked them how they have coped and supported each other during the pandemic. The rain stopped in time for the royal couple to plant a tree in the grounds of the university before departing

As the royal couple ate chilled langoustines, crab and lobster, William recognised Jack Elles of the Harbour Café in Elie, who laid on the food. William and Kate also met local families and a group of nursery school children who presented them with a special card

The couple used to be 'regular customers' while they were students at St Andrews 20 years ago

popped into the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, in the coastal town of Anstruther, some 20 miles east of Fife, where they were 'regular customers' while students at St Andrews 20 years ago
strolled along the pier to enjoy the fish and chips, away from the crowds
ordered a £7.95 takeaway haddock supper, wrapped in paper, which they ate on a bench on the pier. They returned for ice creams - William's in a cup, Kate's in a cone - before returning to Edinburgh by helicopter
landed in the town and took the couple back to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh
A chippy fit for a (future) king! What Wills and Kate ordered from award-winning family business where the couple dined as students

'We make our own luxury dairy ice cream here on the premises to the original 'Brattesani' recipe (Est 1919) using only the finest fresh Scottish milk and cream. We have over 70 different varieties – a mixture of old favourites and many exciting new flavours too.
It is not known what flavours William and Kate ordered.
Anstruther Fish Bar is owned by husband and wife Robert and Alison Smith.
Robert comes from a long line of East Neuk fishermen, tracing his fishing ancestry back to the 1700s. His grandfather Robert Smith OBE served on steam drifters from the East Neuk before becoming a prominent skipper at the port of Granton, Edinburgh.
Mr Smith's son, David, followed his father to sea and worked his way up to the helm of 'Argonaut', his own 72ft fishing boat The Argonaut name adorned a series of successful fishing boats under his command.
David also championed a series of innovations designed to make the work of his fellow fishermen safer and less arduous, and he was honoured with the MBE for his services to the fishing industry.
In 1980 the younger Robert Smith and his wife Alison took the Argonaut name and gave it to their first business together, a fish processing business in St Monans which supplies fresh, hand-filleted haddock to fish and chip shops and retailers throughout the region.
The couple took over the Anstruther Fish Bar and Restaurant in 2003 and now run the chippy with their children, nieces and nephews.
The chippy was crowned the UK’s Seafish Fish and Chip Shop of the Year in 2008/09, beating some 12,000 outlets across the UK. The fish and chip shop has also won Food Awards Scotland’s Takeaway of the Year Award (2014).

NEW イヤリング《Asprey : 女王からローン》”The Dubai Looped Sapphire Demi-Parure”
"During a tour of the Middle East in February 1979, the Queen added a second sapphire demi-parure to her collection.
She was presented with a suite of diamond and sapphire jewelry by Sheikh Rashid of Dubai. The unique Asprey set, with a loop design, originally included a large necklace, a pair of earrings, and a ring."
Sheikh Rashid of Dubai gave the Queen this diamond and sapphire demi-parure when she visited during a Middle East tour in 1979.
The original set included a necklace of diamond loops with alternating loops surrounding large oval sapphires, plus a pair of earrings and a ring (which looks large enough to be a brooch instead) each with a large oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds.
It came from Asprey and was set in gold
