『ウィリアム王子がエディンバラ公への追悼メッセージを公開』

ウィリアム王子も、ついに発表。

William and Harry pay two very different tributes to Prince Philip: Formal William praises grandfather's kindness to Kate and lifetime of 'service to Queen and country' while Harry remembers him as the 'cheeky legend of banter'

  • Prince Harry said if Prince Philip was listening to his tribute he would say: 'beer in hand, 'Oh do get on with it!'
  • His statement was separate from his brother William, who released a new picture of Philip with his son George
  • William's tribute was far more stoic and focused on the need to support the Queen and continue his work
  • Duke of Sussex was spotted at London Heathrow Airport on Sunday at 1.15pm without Meghan Markle 
  • Meghan reportedly wanted to join Harry for Philip's funeral but was discouraged by her physician    
  • Philip died peacefully in his sleep at Windsor Castle on Friday, two months before his 100th birthday

私には、良き日も困難な時にも私を導いてくれる模範としてだけでなく、成人した後にも永続的な存在がいてくれたことを、とても幸運に思っています。
妻が祖父と数年にわたり仲良くしてくれていたことや、また祖父が彼女に示してくれた優しさにとても感謝しています。
馬車に乗せてくれたり、影響力のある冒険心や、茶目っ気あるユーモアをもっていたおじいちゃんのことを、子供達はずっと忘れないでしょうし、私もそれをスペシャルな思い出として、一生覚えているでしょう。

祖父は、桁外れの男性であり、並外れた世代に生きた一人です。キャサリンと私は、彼がきっとしたかったであろうことを継続していくとともに、今後クイーンをサポートしていくつもりです。お祖父様をとても恋しく感じます。しかし祖父はきっと、私たちが公務に従事することを望んでいるでしょう。」

ビックリもしましたが
こんな風に、ひ孫たちとご一緒に過ごされていたんですね❤️

何より、ジョージ王子可愛いっつ
ちっちゃ！とも思いましたが。

私の推測通り、
2015年らしいですね。
2歳頃のジョージ王子です。

一方、逝去後
ハリー王子も、自身のHP上で
祖父エディンバラ公への追悼メッセージを出されていました。

つい比較しちゃうよねえ、、というか
ご兄弟それぞれの、内容の軸が違うから
やはり、比較になってしまう、というもの。

これもやはり
長男・次男の差というか、
個性の違いというか、
何につけ、興味深いですねえ。

こちらは、プライベートでのお姿というか
エディンバラ公のお茶目な部分にフォーカス
祖父への敬意を示された形。

ハリー王子らしいと言える内容とも言えますね。

最後の、ラテン語
「どこにいても、いつも心はそばに。」
の意。

ハリー王子の方が先に公開されていただけに
当然のごとく
ウィリアム王子もこれをご存知だったはず。

だからでしょうかねえ、
正直、ウィリアム王子のメッセージを読んだ時
ハリー王子夫妻のコメントを意識されたもの、、、
という気がすごくした。

穿った見方になるので、
これ以上はふさわしくないと思うので、発言を控えますが。。。

ウィリアム王子のメッセージは
未来の国王として、正統なものでございました。

'My grandfather's century of life was defined by service - to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family.

'I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life, both through good times and the hardest days.

'I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her.

'I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humour!

'My grandfather was an extraordinary man and part of an extraordinary generation.

'Catherine and I will continue to do what he would have wanted and will support the Queen in the years ahead.

'I will miss my Grandpa, but I know he would want us to get on with the job.'

'My grandfather was a man of service, honour and great humour. He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm - and also because you never knew what he might say next. He will be remembered as the longest reigning consort to the monarch, a decorated serviceman, a prince and a duke.

'But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right 'til the end.

'He has been a rock for Her Majesty the Queen with unparalleled devotion, by her side for 73 years of marriage, and while I could go on, I know that right now he would say to all of us, beer in hand, 'Oh do get on with it!' So, on that note, Grandpa, thank you for your service, your dedication to Granny, and for always being yourself. 

'You will be sorely missed, but always remembered - by the nation and the world. Meghan, Archie, and I (as well as your future great-granddaughter) will always hold a special place for you in our hearts. Per Mare, Per Terram.'

時系列は、戻る形になりますが、
ウィリアム王子が追悼メッセージを出される前日
ハリー王子は、ロンドン、ヒースロー空港に到着！！

いわゆる帰国

今週土曜日の
エディンバラ公の葬儀に出席されるため
そして到着後、自主隔離に入られることもあり、早めに帰国
というわけですね。


土曜日の夜
黒のキャデラック・エスカレードに乗って
LAの自宅を出られた姿が、目撃された模様

BAの早朝便で英国へ。

チノパン、ジャケット、黒のマスク
という出で立ちで、
約10時間のフライト後
英国の午後、到着されたそう。

降機後、セキュリティのお迎えで
黒のレンジローバーに。

そこからの行き先は、
ケンジントンパレス ？ではなく
おそらく
ウィンザー城、フロッグモア・コテージ
でしょう。

そして自主隔離

なにせ、エリザベス女王にお会いになるわけですからねえ
念には念、、、ですね。

離脱発表直後、国民からブーイングとなった
約240万ポンドもの税金使って改装をされた
フロッグモアコテージの保持

建前上、寄付という形で、お金を返され
今はもうご自分達のものですからねえ。

心置きなく、自宅でのんびり。
久々の母国で、おひとりで。

この日、
もちろん、メーガン妃の姿は無し。

離脱後、初
爆弾インタビュー後
完全なるアウェイムード漂う母国への帰国
そして葬儀
さてどうなるのだろう、、、
. 
滞在中、英国のお友達や家族との時間で、何かが変わればいいのになあ、、、、
と勝手な期待

そう言えば、当日のお召し物はというと、、、
働く王室メンバーから離脱され
軍人としての地位もお立場も失った
ハリー王子にとっては
もはやユニフォームの着用も不可、、、か。

なのでこれまでと異なり
スーツで出席、となると見られる。
メダルは着用される模様。
