『National Portrait Gallery workshop』

in London this morning
to join a creative workshop run by the National Portrait Gallery’s Hospital Programme
@ Evelina London Children's Hospital
to see how the creative arts can support children’s health and wellbeing.

ロンドンの
”Evelina London Chldren's Hospital”
（エヴァリーナ・ロンドン小児病院）
にて行われた

”ナショナル・ポートレート・ギャラリー”が
運営するワークショップ
に参加されたキャサリン妃

ご結婚後、
最初のパトロネージュの一つである
”ナショナル・ポートレート・ギャラリー ”（NPG)
が運営する、病院プログラム：
アーチスト達を病院に同行し
入院している子供達とアートを使って楽しむというもの。

この日の訪問病院を含め
ロンドンで４カ所、同様のプログラムを実行しているそう。

同様に、この日、
ワークショップが行われた病院
”エヴァリーナ・ロンドン小児病院”
というのも、
最近、キャサリン妃がパトロンとなられたところ。

いわゆる、
キャサリン妃のパトロン先同士のコラボ

この公務も当然と言えるもの。

滞在中、入院患者の子供達や、その家族とお会いに。
そして、子供達と一緒にワークショップに参加。

その中には、この病院で
生後4日の時、先天性の心臓病の手術を受けた、
10歳の少年と、その妹（4歳）とお会いに。

３〜4時間かかって作ったらしい
手作りの、２つの
”ラグ・リース”
を、2人からプレゼントされたキャサリン妃

感動され
'Wow! That's so lovely. Charlotte will love this,'
ピンクのリースは、
シャーロット王女のお部屋に飾られる模様、

ラグ・リース、、、、って可愛い。
簡単そう？作りたくなった。。。

そして、少年が
リースを持って、写真撮影をお願いすると
喜んで受けられたキャサリン妃。

笑顔で、チェキに❤️
素敵な一枚に。

ジョージ王子が、テープカット好き
であることも明かされた。

久々に、到着時
”マリリン・モーメント”も！！

思わず表情全開で、ヤバっつ！感じ
これも余裕ですねえ〜

ということもあり、、
前日の公務寺に続き、
この日も再び感じたこと。

こういう見方もどうだろう、、、とは思うが
なんだか、キャサリン妃が絶好調に見える。
いや、絶好調は確か。

しかし、その裏には、、、、
メーガン妃がいなくなり、
スッキリ
お一人でマイペースにお仕事集中、、、、ってな感じだったり？
うがった見方か、、、、ですよねえ。

が、どうもそう見えてしまった(^^;;

少なくとも、マイペースに出来るはず。

”私とキャサリン妃が同じタイプ”
ならば
私同様、キャサリン妃もあまり”闘う”とか得意じゃないのでは？
と思われ、、、

でも気になっちゃうしねえ〜
闘いたくないしねえ〜
あ、それは私です（笑）
一緒にするな！ってね（笑）

もちろん、真実は
ご本人のみぞ知る、でございます。

しかし、とにかく
とってもお綺麗になった気がしますわ
と、しつこいw

では、話題を変え

この日も
着回しのツイードスーツ
《ドルチェ＆ガッバーナ》

前日の追悼式ではストッキング、でしたが、
この日はタイツ
お仕事向けに、子供達とだし、
前日よりはカジュアルな印象。

ツイード？ブークレー？
なので、真っ黒ではないので
黒のタイツもそう重くは見えず。

加えて、この日のポイントは
ヘア！！

まあ、素敵なこと！！！

ゴージャス❤️
プリンセスらしい❤️

洋服はダークでも、
ヘアスタイルで華やかさを。

それにしても、
ダークカラーが増えてきたなあ〜
よりリアルクローズだけど。
私（だけ）はつまんないw

The National Portrait Gallery gives each of their patients a free book, Playful Portraits, in an effort to encourage them to spend their time on the ward pursuing creative activities.

She first sat down with artist Jessica Rosenfield, who was instructing the children. Chatting with the artist, the Duchess said: "It’s wonderful to see what art therapy adds. To be able to paint, to draw, to be able to tell your story."

"Who is this here?" asked the Duchess as she pointed to a photo of six-year-old Kallum Stuart, who is being treated for kidney failure. "Are you all friends here?" she said as she looked round the table. "What a treat it is for me to meet you all today. What a treat! I am so pleased."

Kensington Palace said:

"The National Portrait Gallery works in close collaboration with play specialists from Evelina London to take artists into the hospital to deliver workshops to children of all ages, along with their siblings and parents. Activities take place on the ward or in play rooms. The Hospital Programme runs in three other children’s hospitals in London – Great Ormond Street Hospital, Newham University Hospital and the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, working with nursing staff, hospital teachers and specialists. Over the past 15 years over 20,000 children (aged 0-18) have benefited from the creative workshops which include photography, animation, sculpture and textiles."

happily posed for a photograph taken by Luke using a Polaroid-style instant camera, which the youngster, who was first operated on for a congenital heart condition at the hospital when he was just five days old, proudly showed off

Savannah's ten-year-old brother Luke is a heart patient at Evelina and quickly asked to take a photo of Kate holding the wreath. She was more than happy to oblige and looked delighted to pose for the budding photographer

Kate exclaimed, on being told it had taken the brother and sister between three and four hours to make.
