ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃が
”ロイヤル・バラエティ・パフォーマンス”
に出席！

エリザベス女王がパトロンとなられている
”ロイヤル・バラエティ・チャリティ”
（The Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund）
の支援のため、開催される

ショーで集まったお金は、
年齢や病気、困難な状況により
援助を要している
英国内のエンターテナーたちをサポートするために使われます。

中でも、特に、
チャリティが運営する
”Brinsworth House”
（ブリンズワースハウス）
エンターテイメント界で活躍した人達が入居するホーム
の人々達をサポートする。

以前、ここに、
メーガン妃が訪問されたこともありました。

The Royal Variety Charity helps those in need who have worked professionally in the entertainment industry, either behind-the-scenes or as performers.

The Royal Variety Performance takes place every year and is held in aid of the Royal Variety Charity. 
The money raised from the show helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who are in need of help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times. In particular, the charity assists former members of the entertainment industry living in Brinsworth House, a residential home in Twickenham, which is owned and run by the charity.

”ロイヤル・バラエティ・パフォーマンス”の
そもそもの始まりは
1912年にジョージ5世とクイーン・メアリー（メアリー・オブ・テック王妃）が
チャリティ支援のために
”Royal Command Performance”
に出席することに合意したことから。

1919年7月に、第2回目が開催され
それが
”Royal Variety Performance
と呼ばれ、現在に至っている。

1021年から
毎年恒例のイベントになり
ロイヤルファミリーも出席されている。

女王は、在位中
39回、出席されたのだそう。

1952年、
エディンバラ公、マーガレット王女とともに
出席された際のエリザベス女王が
なんとも豪華で美しい！
当時はティアラ着用だったんですね〜

ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃
ご夫妻にとっては、
2014年、2017年に続き、
今年で3度目の出席

パレスを出る前、
お子様達に、内容を話されたそうで、
ジョージ王子＆シャーロット王女は
一緒に来たがったのだとか。
そりゃそうですねえ〜

それに対し、キャサリン妃ママは
「翌朝学校がある日はダメよ」
とおっしゃったそう。
「次の機会にね」
とも。


では、

久々のソワレ❤️

とはいえ、
パキスタン以来か、、、、

この日は、
黒のレースガウン！！！

これは素敵っつ❤️
やはり
《アレキサンダー・マックイーン》ね。

キャサリン妃は、
マックイーンと相性が良いね(^_−)−☆

露出は、一見抑え気味
でも、レースで透け感
スクエア＆スイートハートネックラインという、衿の絶妙な開き具合
ベルベットで、切り替え
ウエストもマーク

ここまでは、キャサリン妃の基本条件

そして、この日のガウンは、、、
背中はガッツリ開けて！
セクシー
でも形が、モードなので、上品

髪の毛より大きく開いたデザインは、初ですね〜
とってもお似合い。

背中カッコいいね〜
無駄な贅肉無しって感じ。

クラッチ＆パンプスは
ベルベットの《ジミー・チュウ》で、
デザインはシンプルなので
イヤリングを、
大ぶりにして、アクセント
懐かしいアーデムのものを使いまわし。

ヘアも、大きめカールでゴージャスに！
自信に満ち溢れたキャサリン妃に見えますね〜〜。

メークも、
いつものスモーキーだけど、濃いめにしっかり。
でも、ケバくなく素敵ね。
このスタイルに合ってる。

実は黒好きのキャサリン妃
これまでも、何度か。

初期の頃の
《テンパリー・ロンドン》
の、レースのガウンは、
ファンの間で、最も人気が高かったし
《DVF》の黒いレースガウンは、
2014年に同じくこのイベントでお召しになっていました。
でも、その時は、アップスタイルで
やや老け気味。。

私は、マックイーンの黒のベルベットが運が好きだったけど
一度っきりですね〜、まだ。

その次に、これが好き、かな。
やはり、マックイーンのデザインが、
バランスよくて、
カッコよくて、なおかつエレガント
パーフェクトなロイヤルガウン、だと思う。

これは、公爵夫人となって8年の
進化した
黒のレースソワレだな。

The annual Royal Variety Performance is held in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which The Queen is Patron. The money raised from the show helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times.

The origins of the Royal Variety Performance date back to 1912 when King George V and Queen Mary agreed to attend a 'Royal Command Performance' at the Palace Theatre in London, in aid of the Variety Artistes' Benevolent Fund. In July 1919, the second Royal show was performed and was the first to be billed a "Royal Variety Performance”, before becoming an annual event in 1921.

glamorous gown featured a daring scooped back and a sweetheart neckline, while it cinched in at the waist and flared from the knee

Speaking to Petula, who plays the Bird Lady, William said: 'I love Mary Poppins!'

"not on a school night".

told singer Petula Clark her son, six, and daughter, four, had been excited by the sound of a night of 'singing and dancing' when she and Prince William, 37, told them about the event before leaving Kensington Palace. 

However when the excited little ones asked if they could join their parents at the London Palladium, Kate was forced to use a phrase well used by parents across the world: 'Not on a school night!'  

Petula Clark, who is starring in Mary Poppins, told Kate she would have to bring the children to the show, to which she replied: 'They would love it'

 chatted with Ms Clark the Duchess said her children had been really excited about where she and William were going - particularly the dancing and singing - and asked if they could come, but she had to tell them: 'Not on a school night!'

Plans to improve Brinsworth House are currently underway with a fundraising campaign. The Chairman of the Royal Variety Charity, Giles Cooper, recently said that "the need for care is evolving & requirements & standards have rightly improved, so our plan is to upgrade and regenerate Brinsworth House. With your support, we can achieve just that!" In the background, one can see an image of the Queen and Prince Philip attending the performance in 1955.

Whilst meeting six-year-old Aurelia from an acrobatic group, Kate said George and Charlotte love doing cartwheels at home.

'William was left in stitches was he was jokingly handed a ‘commemorative’ tea towel by the show’s hosts, comedians Rob Beckett and Ramesh Ranganthan, which had their faces on instead of his and Kate’s. The prince roared with laughter and said he would try to find something to do with it.

Beckett said: ‘Maybe you know someone who might want it. ‘ ‘Yeah, the dog will love it,’ joked William, who told the the two men that hopefully they could relax now, When Kate was given a bouquet of flowers by two youngsters who star in the new Mary Poppins musical, Nuala Peberby, 14, and Fred Wilcox, nine, the prince told them: ‘How come I get a dodgy tea towel and she gets some flowers?’

Nuala revealed afterwards that Kate had told her that George and Charlotte - particularly her daughter - love performing and putting on little shows at home. ‘She said that her children love performing at home, particularly Charlotte,’ she said. ‘She told us how lucky we were to be on stage in the West End and asked how we managed to do it with all our school work. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to meet them. ‘
