『The Portrait gala 2014』

昨年12/11 のプレミア 『Alive 3D』 以来
約２か月ぶり・・・・

そして今年初！！！！！
の登場♥

2012年1月からパトロンとなっている、

 ナショナルポートーレートギャラリーのガラ・パーティー☆

ディナーの前のレセプションでは、ゲストの皆さん
（フォトグラファー、俳優、アーティスト、陶芸家）と会われ、
photographer 《David Bailey》
artist 《Jonathan Yeo》
actor 《Alan Rickman》
《Elizabeth Hurley》, 《Bryan Adams》
 Olympic gold medallist 《Katherine Grainger》
Actress 《Jane Asher》 and her cartoonist husband 《Gerald Sarfe》 

そして、ペンで手描きされたポートレートや、
著名なアーティストたちが匿名で描かれた200ものポートレートのカードなどをご覧になった。

それと、忘れるわけにはいかない！
《》による、キャサリン妃初のポートレートも再び鑑賞された☆

 ショートスピーチもされました。
最後最後に、噛んじゃいまして
終わりがキュートな感じで〆ることになりました(笑)

カードの売り上げも含め、
このディナーで集まった基金は、
個展やディスプレイを開くためのギャラリーワークの為や、
今後のリサーチの為に使われるらしい。

ガラ・ディナー中
絵画オークションや
ラッフル（チャリティーで番号札を買い、抽選で当たった人に品物がもらえる富くじのようなもの）
もあり？

  その商品は、、、
《Giles Deacon dress》、《Phillip Treacy hat》、《Stella McCartney handbag》


実は今回の、ワタシの第一印象
「黒っつ」
でした・・・・・(笑)
そりゃそーだ、１週間のマスティク島バケーションの後だもん。
焼けた肌でも、シックにエレガントに見せるワザ！！！
お上手でございます、キャサリンさん。

今回のガラの、ドレスコードは・・・・

昨年、ジョージ王子洗礼式の次の日の公務で初お披露目された
ジェニーパッカムのドレス☆

ま、ツアー前ですからね、ここでNEWドレス着てる場合じゃない。
それも納得(笑)

しかも、ツアー準備を思わせる
今回の出で立ち。
ドレス＆靴は同じでも、
きたーーーーー、ガ~~~ンとゴージャスなのが！！！！

クイーンのコレクションから借りたジュエリー☆

後にインド、ニザームの国王となる
《the Nizam of Hyderabad》 からQueen（エリザベス王女の時）への
ウェディングギフトとして、1947年に、プレゼントされたモノ

まさに、このネックレスが
この夜のドレスコードを象徴しましたね～☆☆
 ドレスの格を上げてくれました。。。
が、正直ワタシ個人の意見としては、
本来、このドレスはジュエリーに合わせるには格が違い過ぎ(^_^;)
安っぽい。

『The Nizam of Hyderabad diamond necklace』

 
インドのニザーム王国の国王からのウェディングギフト☆

この国王、
世界で最も有名で豪華なプライベートジュエリーコレクションをお持ちの方だったそう
(＠_＠)
そんな国王から・・・・・

1947年の結婚祝いとして、
The Nizam（国王）は、エリザベス王女に、
 カルティエで、どれでもお好きなモノを２つ選ぶようにと仰ったらしく、
実際のところ、国王が選ばれたわけでなく、
ご自分でご自分のギフトを選んだということのよう。
 ロンドンにいらっしゃらなかったからのようですが。

王女は、
ティアラとネックレスのデミ・パリュール（セット物）を選ばれました。

ティアラに関しては、他のモノへと形を変えたらしいですが、
ネックレスは健在(笑)
ネックレスのベースは、なんと
”イングリッシュ・ロ－ズ”♥
クイーンにピッタリ！！
  

このネックレス、《Cartier》により、
オリジナルは、なんと1930年代に創られたものらしく、

46のダイモンドが付いたロングチェーンで成り立っていたが、
後に、38になった。

ネックレスの中央は、取り外し可能な
 １３のエメラルドカットダイモンドのダブルドロップペンダントと、ペアシェイプドロップの
ダイアが敷き詰められている（ペーブセット）


オリジナルのネックレスは、
８つのダブルドロップと３つのトリプルドロップペンダントで成り立っていたが、
これら９つのペンダントは、後に取り外され、売られた。
 ネックレスは、1936年に購入された最初のオーナーから、
カルティエにより、一年後に買い戻された。

ティアラは、分解され、他のアイテムへと姿を変えてしまったそうですが、
 ねっくれあうはこうやっていまだ存在し、
現在までクイーンによって着用されていた☆
 


 The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace was originally created by Cartier in 1930s. The Indian king asked the Queen to choose two pieces from the jeweler to mark her wedding - and the then Princess Elizabeth chose a tiara and a necklace based on an English rose. It consists of a long chain of 38 diamonds (reduced from the original 46) with a diamond-encrusted snap. The center of the necklace is pave-set with detachable double-drop pendant 13 emerald-cut diamonds and a pear-shaped drop.

The original necklace consisted of eight double-drop and three triple-drop pendants. However, nine of the pendants (all eight double-drop and the larger of the triple-drop pendants) were later removed and sold separately.

The necklace itself found its first owner in 1936 but Cartier repurchased it a year later. The tiara was subsequently broken up to create other pieces but the necklace remains intact. The Queen occasionally still wears it today.

A wedding present from the Nizam of Hyderabad to Princess Elizabeth in 1947, the necklace was remodelled from an earlier Cartier piece. The double drop pendant, which incorporates 13 emerald-cut diamonds, is detachable from the chain of 38 brilliant-cut open-back collets.

'The necklace was purchased from Cartier. Actually, in a way it was acquired by Elizabeth herself; the Nizam wasn't in London at the time and left Cartier instructions that the Princess would personally choose her present. 'I just wanted to say how delighted I am to be here this evening to celebrate the fantastic work of The National Portrait Gallery. The Gallery's achievements are exceptional. They hold the most extensive collection of portraits in the world and their unique and brilliant exhibitions never fail to inspire us all.

 But, it is more than simply a world renowned visitor's attraction - the Gallery's outreach and research programmes makes it one of the leading centres for the important study of Portraiture. I simply could not be more proud to be its Patron. Thank you for being here tonight and showing your support. I hope that you all have a wonderful evening.
