恒例で行われるイベント
The British Legion Festival of Remembrance
（フェスティバル）は
1927年から始まり

@ the Royal Albert Hal
で、開催され続け、
過去＆現在の紛争に至るまで、
国の為に戦った（ている）兵士達に敬意を表している。

そして
”the Armed Forces community”への寄付を募る目的も。

現在では
BBCで放送もされる。

クイーンにとって
即位されて以来、パトロンとなられている。
1952年以降
２回を除いて、
毎年、出席を欠かされたことは無い。

というわけで、
もちろん今年も筆頭はクイーン
エディンバラ公
ウィリアム王子&キャサリン妃
アンドリュー王子
など、王族の方々が揃って出席される☆

今後、毎年出席が予想される♪

This year's programme featured special guests including Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Pixie Lott and Gregory Porter performing alongside the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, the Queen's Colour Squadron, the Band of HM Royal Marines, and the Band and Pipes of the Brigade of Gurkhas.

Taking to the stage is Rod Stewart singing "Way Back Home". A song he's written specially for tonight

for the annual National Service of Remembrance.

As the clock struck eleven, a two minute silence was observed. The silence represents the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918, when the guns of Europe fell silent. The time is marked by the firing of a field gun on Horse Guards Parade.

'Every year, the two minute silence for the remembrance service on Whitehall is conducted with military precision. On Horse Guards Parade the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery fire their First World War guns to mark the start of the silence, and a Corps of Army Music bugler from the Household Division marks its end at precisely the same time that the guns fire again, 120 seconds later.'

ナチスドイツからの
1945年のオランダ解放記念日から
今年で70年。
それを記念し
クイーンがご招待をされたそう。

今回
キャサリン妃は、
オランダのクイーン・マキシマ、
ウェセックス伯爵夫人（ソフィーさん）
アン王女の旦那さま《Sir Tim Laurence》
と一緒にバルコニーに。

良かったですね、平和で。
