『World Mental Health Day event by Mind』

UKで、メンタルへルス問題に先進的に取り組んでいる
チャリティ団体
"Mind"
がホストするイベントに出席された
ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃

この日は
”Mind”
が立ち上げた
『World Mental Health Day』
その認知を広めるため
一役買われたわけですね。

お二人共、
この問題に関して
とても関心と興味を持たれているようですね。

お二人は、滞在中
かつて、メンタルヘルスの問題と闘い、
そして現在、ボランティアとして
”the anti-stigma campaign： Time to Change or Mind”
（恥ずかしいことではない！キャンペーン）
に参加している、
若者たちとお会いになった。

同時に、もちろん
若者たちが抱えるメンタルヘルスについての
認知度を推進することも目的。

そして、

Mintkit トレーニングセッションにも
お二人で参加され
その後は
レセプションに。

若者を含め、
関わる人達と
気さくにお話されていた。

Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Every year, Mind in Harrow helps over 7,000 local people with assistance from over 100 volunteers

This year's World Mental Health Day theme in the UK is 'Dignity in Mental Health', and in the US the focus is on removing the stigma: 'I am Stigma Free'.

2011年9月からは
《Stephen Fry》氏が
"Mind" のプレジデントなんですね～
この方、自身の双極性障害の経験があり、オープンにしていているそう。
素晴らしいな～
こういうセレブが、チャリティに関与するＵＫ

今後も
このテーマに関する公務が
幾つか予定されていると、
発表もされ
お二人の熱意を感じます。

しかし、半袖ですよ～

さすが、キャサリンさん。

When someone thanked the couple for shining a light on mental health issues, Denington added: "Will said, 'Actually you guys are the real heroes and it's you that we want to hear from, it's not about us.' "

Prince William told the group,
"I could sit here and talk to you for hours. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us. You are being incredibly brave doing this. I know it's not easy for you re-living your experiences again and again."

Kate, added, "I keep thinking about what else we can do and how we can raise awareness. Keep the ideas coming. We think it's so important. Talking about mental health is so important."

The Duchess smiles as 19-year-old Vithuja Balasingham, a Time to Change volunteer, gave a speech about her struggles

Kate was interested in looking at work by the volunteers at Harrow College

William refused to have any cake at the event, joking that he 'wasn't allowed'
‘Also it is very difficult to talk to people when I am eating cakes. I would cover all your tops with chocolate. It’s not very good.’

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said of the Prince’s cake comment: ‘I think probably it was a joke by Prince William.

'I know he doesn’t eat when he is talking to people as it can be awkward.’

爆笑を買ったそうな。
立てて笑いを取る、そのセンス
だから幸せで、愛される女性なんだよね～
