『The ICAP Art Room 公式オープン』

　@ Northolt High School, in Ealing, west London

ヴァレンタインデー♥のこの日、


パトロンとなっている、"The Art Room" の
新スクールの公式オープン式に出席☆

国際的なチャリティーで、
人生の中でいろいろな問題に直面している
 5～16才までの子供達や青年たちを対象とし
 アートをセラピーの一環として、
 自信や自尊心を養ったり、
サポートをする。
（毎週、上限60人の、近隣の生徒たちを受け入れ可能）


そしてここ、NEWスクール：The ICAP Art Roomは、
2012年12月に行われた 
"ICAP Charity Day" での基金からの寄付金（£105,000）によって設立されたそう。

ICAPのスタッフによるボランティアで、
より明るい部屋となるよう、改装のお手伝いもされたとか。

オックスフォードや、ロンドンに続き、７番目のスクールとなる☆
今年中に、８＆９番目となる
エディンバラとロンドンにも、またオープンするそうです。


約1000人の生徒たちに迎えられ
スタッフは勿論、学生達と会い
共にショート・セッションにも参加しながら、
スクールとチャルティーワークがどのように機能しているかを学ばれた。

『キャサリン妃 とArt』

 The Duchess has been Royal Patron of The Art Room, since 2012 reflecting her interest in the arts and particularly her interest in using the creativity of art to enrich the lives of children and young adults. As a history of art graduate the organisation was one of Kate's first choices when the time came for her to select patronages. Over the past couple of years Her Royal Highness has supported The Art Room through a number of high-profile engagements and behind-the-scenes visits.

Kensington Palace said the Duchess chose to link herself to the charity as it ‘reflects her interest in the arts and her particular interest in using the creativity of art to enrich the lives of young people’.


Northolt’s Art Room was funded with £105,000 raised by the City firm ICAP, which holds a charity day every year at which guests including the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry have in the past stood in as traders to raise money on the phones

Today marked Kate's second Valentine's Day engagement. Many will recall the Duchess visited Liverpool in 2012 whilst Prince William was deployed
