Prince Louis of Wales has stepped out for his first-ever official royal engagement, helping out his parents Prince William and Princess Catherine, and older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at the Big Help Out. He previously attended outings including Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, but five-year-old Louis marked his first engagement by operating tools and helping his dad dig. The Big Help Out encouraged people across the U.K. to volunteer in their community in honour of King Charles III's Coronation

'He's not mucking about with little loads either, really getting stuck in.'
Another gushed: 'I could use him in the garden. Impressive!'

"As the Coronation weekend draws to a close, my wife and I just wanted to share our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped to make this such a special occasion. We pay particular tribute to the countless people who have given their time and dedication to ensuring that the celebrations in London, Windsor and further afield were as happy, safe and enjoyable as possible". Charles continued: "To those who joined in the celebrations - whether at home, at street parties and lunches, or by volunteering in communities - we thank you, each and every one. To know that we have your support and encouragement, and to witness your kindness expressed in so many different ways, has been the greatest possible Coronation gift, as we now rededicate our lives to serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and Commonwealth"
Of the 12 leading royals gathered in this official portrait, only four are under 60
The Royal Family shown in the portraits for Queen Elizabeths 1953 Coronation is considerably larger - and very much more youthful, with Charles and Anne standing at the front
The piece was commissioned in 1950 by King George VI for his beloved daughter Princess Elizabeth and was worn by the late monarch throughout her reign. Kate also wore her Royal Family Order and Royal Victorian Order regalia. Kate wore Princess Diana's diamond and pearl earrings and her Jess Collett floral headpiece. With one mystery solved another begins. It appears the Princess wore a different gown
