というのも、事前に発表されていたのは
国王ご夫妻、グロスター公爵ご夫妻、マイケルオブケント王子ご夫妻の方々
そこにキャサリン妃の名はなかった。
どうやら、それにも理由があった模様。

'The children discussed vegetables and herbs and the Princess told them:
"There's a plant that smells like chocolate. I remember my granny showing me that when I was little. It has very dark leaves and you rub it and it smells like chocolate."
Told the pupils were growing sunflowers at school, she said:
"They get so big, don’t they?"
revealing:
"Louis is growing broad beans at school. You put them in a cup and you can see them roots growing. They get big quickly like sunflowers."
Meanwhile one of the pupils asked her about being a member of the royal family. She replied:
"You have to work hard, but you know the best thing about it is meeting kiddies like you."
Pressed on what the royal family does, she said:
"They help support all the different people in the country, showcase all the amazing work being done and look after everyone."
One curious child asked if she made the law, but she told her:
"The Prime Minister makes the laws."

The Princess of Wales has revealed what it is like to be in her shoes, as she hosted a picnic for schoolchildren at the Chelsea Flower Show for school children.
When asked what it is like being a princess,
Her Royal Highness said:
"You have to work hard."
Kate also received flowers from one of the children attending and promised: "I'll plant them in my home, when I get home with my kiddies."

sat down with schoolchildren and chatted to them as she arrived for the first ever Children's Picnic
'At one point, a little boy from Alex Reed Academy raised his hand — just like the classroom! — to ask Kate a question. "They've all been so polite," a teacher says.
Ten-year-old Romasia told reporters that she and the Princess of Wales connected over the joys of growing fruits and vegetables. "We spoke about how fascinating it is to see how food grows. We talked about strawberries and how it takes time for them to grow and how rewarding it is to eat them then," the student says'.

The Princess of Wales was all smiles as she chatted to the Chelsea Pensioners
'There was laughter as the Princess interrupted a group of Chelsea pensioners who were enjoying a starter of chargrilled peas with herbs made by chefs in the walled kitchen garden. When she asked what was on the menu, gallant diner Harry Puttick, 94, formerly of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers told her:
"The peas are forgettable – you are not."
With the chef nearby he joked afterwards:
"I'd better say the peas were wonderful but it was fantastic to meet the future Queen."
(Hello!)
Kate met another group of youngsters at the Royal Entomological Garden.
Designed by Tom Massey, the outdoor laboratory built into a hillside was designed to offer visitors an 'insect's eye view'. The lab’s roof structure is inspired by a compound insect eye and the lab is used for real scientific research, monitoring and studying insects visiting the garden.
(The RHS)
"A dead tree ‘sculpture’, cut into rings and elevated on steel poles, ‘floats’ over biodiverse planting and a standing dead tree and tree stump provide further sculptural habitat. Planting for pollinators and a wide range of other beneficial insects forms a beautiful and resilient scheme that will provide year-round food, habitats and interest."
Finally, Kate visited Mark Gregory's Savills Garden

The campaign has one core mission: to give children and young people the opportunity to grow and connect with nature. By partnering with schools, educators and youth group leaders, their aim is for as many children as possible to enjoy nature whilst learning about caring for plants. To encourage participation, a range of awards can be achieved

『How far back does the Chelsea Flower Show's royal connections go?』
Formally known as the Great Spring Show, the first event was held by the RHS in Kensington in 1862, with Queen Victoria among its regular visitors in its early years.
The first ever RHS Chelsea Flower Show, as we know it today, took place in 1913 and has been held every May, apart from during the two World Wars and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The first and only ever autumn show was held in September 2021 after the original was postponed amid the pandemic.
Royal visits to the show have always been tradition, with the late Queen's great-grandmother
Queen Alexandra and her grandparents, King George V and Queen Mary, among the regular visitors each year.
Princess Elizabeth, 21, attended the first show after World War Two in 1947 with her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
エリザベス女王はRHSのパトロン
過去2度(2015年:カナダ訪問、2021年秋)だけ、欠席されるもそれ以外はもれなく出席され続けたほど。
She became patron of the RHS following the death of her father and is believed to have only missed the event twice – in 2005 when she was on a royal tour of Canada and the autumn show in 2021.
女王の最後の出席は、昨年で、逝去の数ヶ月前
ゴルフバギーに乗って回られたお姿が印象的だった。
The royal family's love of horticulture has passed down through the generations, with the King being one of the biggest advocates for the environment and the natural world.
As the Prince of Wales, Charles helped to design two show gardens – a Carpet Garden in 2001, and a Healing Garden in 2002, which featured plants and trees with medicinal value.
In 2009, Charles was also awarded the RHS Victoria Medal of Honour for his passion for plants, sustainable gardening and the environment.
While the RHS is yet to announce its new royal patron, we couldn’t think of anyone more fitting to fill Her Late Majesty's shoes than King Charles
