英国内のロイヤルツアーは遂行

2012年のジュビリーとは異なり

エディンバラ公のお姿はなし

そして現在の傾向として

少人数での上級ロイヤル重視の意向も示し

チャールズ皇太子＆カミラ夫人ご夫妻を筆頭に

ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃や

そしてウェセックス伯爵＆ソフィー夫人ご夫妻

の存在感もアップ。

この日から2日間

ケンブリッジ公爵ご夫妻

（スコットランドでは、ストラサーン伯爵夫妻）

が、スコットランド

グラスゴー＆エディンバラ

を公式訪問

懐かしい〜

Early Years development one of her key passion projects

"As the couple began their visit to the school close to the banks of the River Clyde in Port Glasgow, the Duke joked, "Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?"

'Kate and Will Bounce the Babies in Scotland' The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have visited St John’s Primary School in Port Glasgow where they took part in a session teaching children aged 5-13 about empathy. Roots of Empathy is an early intervention programme run by Action for Children and uses a parent, baby and instructor to guide children to develop empathy. The visit is part of a series of engagements that Prince William and Kate are undertaking in Scotland to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.

Kensington Palace said: "Roots of Empathy is an early intervention programme run by Action for Children (the Duchess' patronage) which has been developed to help children aged 5-13 build empathy. The programme uses a unique approach, with a local parent and baby (or ‘Tiny Teacher’) alongside a trained instructor guiding the children to develop empathy. The programme was developed in Canada and operates internationally, in countries including New Zealand, the United States, Norway, Switzerland and Costa Rica. It has been operating in Scotland since 2010."

"The Roots of Empathy programme is aligned to much of the Countess's long-term work on early childhood, which highlights how good social and emotional development at a young age supports us to thrive as individuals, with one another, as a community and as a society. Learning to empathise from a young age is essential because it’s only by seeing our world through someone else’s eyes, that we begin to understand it. Last year, the Countess launched The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood which aims to drive awareness of, and action on, the extraordinary impact of the early years."

Among the activities which the Duchess took part in during her visit today was an exercise in which she touched her finger to her nose

seen howling with laughter as she sat crossed legged with the students of the school for the Empathy Session

spoke with some of the older students who have completed the programme to hear their reflections and experiences and understand how the sessions have benefitted them

The Duchess, whose passion is Early Years development, appeared excited to discuss the Empathy Programme during her visit to the school in Scotland

'William and Kate Meet Glasgow Group Tackling Homelessness' The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have visited Kennishead in Glasgow to see how the lives of the disadvantaged, vulnerable, and those at risk of homelessness are being transformed. Prince William and Kate met young people and families who have benefited from the support of the Wheatley Group. The visit is part of a series of engagements that Their Royal Highnesses are undertaking in Scotland to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.

In their final engagement of the day, the Duke and Duchess visited the University of Glasgow where they spoke with children during a walkabout

According to the Times, second year statistics undergraduate Jack Baird, 21, caught the royal's attention when he waved a copy of the old puzzle in the air, and asked for her help with the one clue he hadn't managed to answer

The crossword fan, who has been known to take the puzzles to nightclubs, was unable to answer a question about the Royal Family, so Kate offered to help him and grabbed the puzzle before being snapped studying it keenly.

The clue Jack was stuck on, seven down, was about the 'sovereign’s annual allowance', and contained two words of four and five letters.

Jack said that Kate was able to succesfully provide the correct answer, which was Civil List.

'She was very excited. It didn’t look like she was going to get it for a moment. I’m really chuffed. I'm going to frame it. She looked thrilled. I think she thought, "I wouldn’t live this down if I get this wrong".'
