ついに出た、最終決定が。。。
うっかり忘れそう、、というか、むしろ忘れて欲しかった、けれど
パレスから出された声明がこちら。

『サセックス公爵と公爵夫人は、今後ロイヤルファミリーのワーキングメンバーとしてのお立場に戻られないことを、女王陛下に確証されました。
公爵との会話により、女王は
ロイヤルファミリーの公務から退くことにつき、
公務人生に付随する責務や職務を継続することは不可能となるという
確認書をお書きになりました。
従って、公爵と公爵夫人が任命されていた、軍の名誉職やロイヤルパトロネージュは
女王陛下へと返還され、ロイヤルファミリーのワーキングメンバー達へ再分配されます。
彼らの決断に、私たち皆が悲しみを覚えていますが、
しかしながら、愛する家族の一員であることは変わりません。』
脚注
昨年の、ロイヤルファミリーのワーキングメンバーからの離脱という
サセックス公爵＆公爵夫人の決断を受け、12ヶ月の見直し期間が設けられました。
サセックス公爵とロイヤルファミリー のメンバーとの間の話し合いにより
その決断が、今回決定となりました。
軍隊、コモンウェルス、チャリティ関連の
女王へ返還されるのは、これら。

The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, The Rugby Football Union, The Rugby Football League, The Royal National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities.

簡単に言うと、やはり離脱が確定してしまった。
この一年を見ていると、やはりね、、という感じではあるが、
でもやはり悲しい。
完全なる決別っぽく感じてしまい、、、
この双方の決断は
なんと、一時間ほどの電話で
話し合われたらしい。
なにせコロナ禍で、ハリー王子の帰国もままならないとはいえ
しかしながら、ハリー王子の方からの意思という風に言われている。
そして結果は
離脱するなら、ロイヤル公務はさせない、というのが女王の結論
軍での地位
女王から引き継がれた組織やチャリティのパトロネージュ
などが女王へ返された。
ハリー王子にとって大きいのは軍人の地位でしょうし
メーガン妃にとっては、与えられていた2つ
ナショナルシアターと、女性支援のコモンウェルス大学協会
両方、惜しい団体だったでしょう。
また、ご夫妻揃って、
コモンウェルス・トラストを失ったことも、かなり残念なはず。
なにせ、これが、ご本人たちも周りも一番期待されてた分野。
一方で、保持を許されたものも。
個人的なチャリティ関連で
インヴィクタス・ゲーム
サンタベリー
などを代表とする、ハリー王子にしかできないもの。
また、メーガン妃も、
スマートワークスや、メイヒューと、
こちらもメーガン妃ならではの、納得のチャリティ団体が残された。

ということは一体、今後なんとこのお二人を呼ぶべきか、、
問題がいよいよ出てきた。

やはりね、、、という感じではあるんだけれど
これだけで終わらなかった、、、
なんと、パレスの公式声明が出された
3分後に、
サセックス公爵家側から、広報担当を通じて
こんなコメントが出された。。。

サセックス公爵夫妻は、英国、世界中に対する職務やサービスを遂行することに変わりはありません。それゆえに、公的な役割に関係なく、代表となっていた組織へ
今後も継続したサポートを提案しました。私達は、人生すべてをサービスとともに歩んでいきます。サービスは普遍です。』
まるで、パレスの声明に対して、反撃しているように、、、、
英国メディアは、もちろん
女王に対してとても失礼であり、
侮辱行為とも。。。
しかも現在、
エディンバラ公は入院中という状況。。。
私的には、
なぜにこのお二人って、
「それを言わなきゃ良かったのに、、、、」
という、余計な一言（発言）を、わざわざするのかなあ、、、
これ言わなければ、英国民も
お二人に対しての慈悲の念が湧いたのに、、、
ほんと、今回も実感
引く、とか、黙る
ということができないのねえ。
米国的なのか。。。
果たして、今の女王のお気持ちは、いかに、、、
なのに、今回も、
HRHのタイトルは剥奪されなかった女王
それは、ひ孫に対する愛情か、
王子という立場に生まれた者へのプライドか
それとも、もしや英国、王室に戻った場合を想定されてのことか、、、
ある意味、タイトルがどうなるか？
が今回のキーだったように感じる。
女王の下で働かないなら、
仕事は取り上げます。
それは理解できる。
米国もご自由に。
でも、女王はタイトルは取り上げず。。
英国内でも2極化
HRHも取り上げるべきという意見も多し。
一方では、BBCの王室担当記者は
女王の判断が間違っていると示唆するコメントも。
さて、どうなる、今後。
いくら離脱しようとも
注目も縁も切れないし
ただ自由に動けるようになったことで、
より考え方の相違が大きくなりそう。。
しかも、すでに爆弾の予感、、、、
来月7日に
メーガン妃＆ハリー王子が米国TV界のクイーン
《オプラ・ウィンフリー》氏のインタビューを受けることが明らかに。
かつての、ダイアナ元妃のインタビューを思い起こさせる、、、
王室にとっては、悪夢再びかも？
恐ろしすぎる、、、
すっかりハリー王子は、米国に馴染んじゃった模様
妻が幸せなら、僕も幸せ、は素晴らしいけれど。。
あ〜〜あ、とか思うも、

女性に弱いねえ、、。

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family.
Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.
While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.

Following The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step away last year as working members of The Royal Family, a 12-month review was agreed.
A decision has now been made after conversations between The Duke of Sussex and Members of The Royal Family.

やはりクラシックなお名前というか、代々受け継ぐお名前にされましたね。

先週中には、と思ってましたが、
気づけば11日後と、
結構経ってましたね。
色々とお考えになるのも当然、第一子だし。

In a later post, the Queen's granddaughter said the name was a nod to Prince Philip and Queen Victoria's Husband Prince Albert, whose birth name was Franz Albert August Karl Emanuel
August is both a given name and surname developed from the Latin, Augustus. Derived from the Latin word augere, meaning 'to increase,' Augustus had the meaning 'esteemed' or 'venerable' and was a title given to Roman emperors.
UK royal names are normally chosen from a relatively restricted pool of those used by past kings and queens.
Other royal Augusts include Prince Ernest Augustus of Hanover and his son, who shares the same name.
Princess Eugenie revealed the name is a nod to Queen Victoria's Husband Prince Albert, whose birth name was Franz Albert August Karl Emanuel.
Albert was called August because it was the month of his birth.
Philip is a male given name, derived from the Greek Philippos, lit. 'horse-loving' or 'fond of horses'.
The couple no doubt chose the name as a nod to Prince Philip, Princess Eugenie's grandfather.
Hawke is an Anglo-Saxon name which comes from the Old English personal Hafoc. It is a Brooksbank family name.

on Saturday afternoon
先週火曜日(16日)から
ロンドンはキング・エドワード7世病院に
入院をされているエディンバラ公
体調がすぐれないということで
検査＆経過観察で
当初3日間と言われていたが、
延長され
今週いっぱいは入院される見込み。
そんな中、突然病院に
チャールズ皇太子のお姿が！
20日土曜日の午後、3:30pm頃
お車が病院の裏手に到着。
どうやら、この日は
現在の拠点
グロスターシャー州ハイグローブから
ロンドンの病院まで
お車で向かわれたのだそう。。
もちろんお帰りも。
わざわざ、、、、遠いところをお車で。。
エディンバラ公の入院が延長になったことで
チャールズ皇太子がお会いになりたく、訪問されたとか。
どうやら
コロナ禍の規制ゆえ、
ウィンザー城にお住いのエディンバラ公とは
クリスマス前からお会いになっていなかったそう。。。
ですよねえ、、、
入院から5日目となったこの日、
ロイヤルファミリーの中で初めてお見舞いに来られたことに。
4pm前に出て来られ、
約30分ほどの滞在だったようですが、
気になるのは、
お帰りの車の中のチャールズ皇太子の目に
涙が浮かんでいるような、、、、、、
気になる。。。
感情を表に出されない皇太子だけに
なかなかウルウルな目は、、、
お父様に怒られた、と思いたい。
この日の訪問理由として、
入院延長を機に久々にお会いになりたかったのと、
ハリー王子の離脱の件に関し、父を安心させるためでは？
という見方もあれど
いかんせん、99歳というご高齢だけに、、、。
6月の100歳のお祝いを楽しみにしておりますので、
どうかゆっくり安静なさって、
お元気に退院をなさってくださいませ☆

お見舞い後
Charles arrived at the hospital at around 3.20pm on Saturday in a grey Tesla car, and exited the vehicle wearing a face mask, before leaving around 30 minutes later.
It is understood the prince travelled from his home in Highgrove, Gloucestershire, to the hospital in the capital
A Clarence House spokesman confirmed he returned to Highgrove following his visit.
Prince Charles left the hospital shortly before 4pm, half an hour after arriving. He is the first member of the royal family to visit Philip during the duke's four-night stay in hospital
The Prince was driven to the hospital in a Tesla electric car before he was seen walking into the back of the facility
Prince Charles sat in the front seat of his car and was wearing a disposable coronavirus face mask. He is believed to be the first person to have visited Prince Philip since he arrived in hospital on Tuesday
