アート史で学位を取られたことは
有名ですが、
セントアンドルーズ大学での
最終年あたりから、写真への興味が強くなったそうな
キャサリン妃

ご存知、もはや恒例化している

キャサリン妃ご自身が撮影

カナダや東南アジアの
ロイヤルツアー中にも
カメラ持参で、撮影されている様子が目撃されていました。

The Duchess of Cambridge has become Patron of The Royal Photographic Society.

Her Majesty The Queen has passed the patronage to The Duchess after having held the role for 67 years. The new patronage has been announced ahead of Her Royal Highness's visit to a photography workshop run by The Royal Photographic Society and Action for Children, which is another of The Duchess’s patronages.

Her Royal Highness will join children from Action for Children in several sessions, run with Royal Photographic Society Honorary Fellows Jillian Edelstein and Harry Borden, that will cover various elements of photography such as portraits, light and colour. Alongside developing new skills, the workshop will highlight how photography provides a universal language for young people to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings.

The Duchess has a longstanding interest in photography, and this patronage will further highlight the beneficial impact that art and creativity can have on emotional wellbeing, particularly for children and young people.

The Royal Photographic Society is one of the world's oldest photographic societies. It was founded in 1853 with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography, and in the same year received Royal patronage from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Society has over 11,000 members and runs an extensive programme of more than 500 events throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. Her Royal Highness was made an Honorary Member of the Royal Photographic Society in January 2017.

Chief Operating Officer of the Royal Photographic Society Mike Taylor said, “It is a huge honour to have The Duchess as our Patron, especially given her personal interest in photography. We know that photography and creative pursuits have such a positive impact for people of all ages, and we are excited to be working with one of The Duchess’s charities in support of their work.”

Today, The Duchess of Cambridge joined two of her patronages, Action for Children and the Royal Photographic Society, for a special photography workshop.

The Duchess of Cambridge joined young people from Action for Children for the sessions run by the Royal Photographic Society, which covered elements of photography including as portraits, light and colour.

The workshop, run by RPS honorary fellows Jillian Edelstein and Harry Borden highlighted how photography provides a universal language for young people to express themselves and explore their thoughts and feelings.

Action for Children, who are marking their 150th anniversary this year, are committed to helping vulnerable children, young people, and their families, across the UK.

The Royal Photographic Society, of whom The Duchess today became Patron, is one of the world's oldest photographic societies.

It was founded in 1853 with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography. Her Majesty The Queen passed the patronage to The Duchess, after having held the role for 67 years.

In these archive photos, The Queen is pictured taking a photo during a visit to the Lindsay Park Stud in South Australia in 1977.

And again, The Queen takes a photograph of the Duke of Edinburgh during their visit to the South Sea Islands of Tuvalu in 1982.

This patronage is the very definition of an ideal fit for the Duchess. For her final year dissertation at St Andrews, a growing interest in photography led her to write about the photography of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll, entitled 'Angels from Heaven: Lewis Carroll's Photographic Interpretation of Childhood'. Kate graduated with an upper second-class degree in history of art in 2005.

The workshop highlighted how photography can provide "a universal language for young people to express themselves and explore their thoughts and feelings".

と思うようなことが発覚

先日、8日の
トゥルーピング・ザ・カラーの時
メーガン妃の婚約指輪が
何気に変わっていたことが発覚！！！

ってか、それ発見した人が、凄すぎ。

だって、リングの部分よ、、、、
ご存知、婚約指輪といえば、
ハリー王子がプロポーズの際、メーガン妃に贈ったもので
中央にボツワナのダイヤモンド
両サイドには、
亡きダイアナ元妃のプライベートジュエリーから使われたもの。

デザインしたのもハリー王子！！！！
変わったとされる
リングの部分だって、
王子が、メーガン妃の好きなものとして
イエローゴールドにされたはず。。

それを変えるって、、、意味がわからなすぎ

しかし、
2017年11月の婚約会見の時の
指輪ズームと
先月5月8日の、女王公式バースデーの時の
指輪ズーム

確かに違う。。。。

なんだか細くなってるし
アイリッシュ・ゴールドは何処へ？
超小さなパヴェになってる！！！

いつから？？

産休だったので
確実には？？だけど
少なくとも
アーチー君の初お披露目の際
メーガン妃の薬指の婚約指輪は、すでに変わってる。

しかし、その後トゥルーピング・ザ・カラーで目撃される
エターナルリングは、この時はまだ無い。

しかし、もしや
エターナル・リングと一緒に
婚約指輪を変えられたとか？？

今後、３つ
婚約指輪
結婚指輪
エターナル・リング
をされるのが基本、だとすると、太いから？

それにしても、婚約指輪じゃなくていいよねえ〜。

一説によると
妊娠＆出産で、メーガン妃の指が大きくなったから？

勇気あるわ〜

Jewellery expert Arabel Lebrusan confirmed the ring appeared to have been changed, and suggested it was more American in style compared to the original engagement ring.

Arabel, owner the ethical jewellery brand Arabel Lebrusan, called the thinner band a popular trend at the moment, revealing: 'Many celebrities do this, as the central stone looks bigger in comparison getting the wow factor.'

At Trooping the Colour and at her Windsor Castle photo call with Prince Harry and newborn son Archie, the Duchess has worn her three engagement diamonds set on a thin micro-pavé band.

She has also been seen with a third diamond band, which many royal watchers speculated could have been an anniversary gift or a 'push present' given to the royal by her husband after Archie's birth.Previous

Leora Moreno, owner of jewellery brand Leo With Love, suggested the changes could have been changed to match Meghan's new eternity ring.

She explained:'It looks like the eternity ring has a channel pave setting. The engagement ring looks to have an even smaller pave setting, but perfectly matches the eternity band.'

The jeweler went on to explain the change may have been complex, saying that it required 'fine skill and craftsmanship to change the band to something more delicate like a pave setting.'

tt was widely speculated this may have been because this was due to her fingers swelling, which is very common in late stages of pregnancy.

At the time of their engagement, Prince Harry spoke about creating Meghan's engagement ring with the help of jewelers Cleave and Company.

The custom design featured one diamond originally from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana's collection.

At the time, he said: 'The ring is obviously yellow gold because that's [Meghan's] favorite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewelry collection, to make sure that she's with us on this crazy journey together.'

Meghan called it 'incredible', explaining: 'Everything about Harry's thoughtfulness and the inclusion of [Princess Diana's stones] and obviously not being able to meet his mom, it's so important to me to know that she's a part of this with us.'

'It's incredibly special to be able to have this [ring], which sort of links where you come form and Botswana, which is important to us. It's perfect.'

The Duchess of Sussex also wears her wedding band, which is in yellow gold to match Prince Harry's.
