第1次世界大戦終結から100年
という大きな節目

通常の、フェスティバル＆式典に加え
ウェストミンスター寺院でのサービス、
と、追悼イベントに出席された。

A series of events will take place across the UK to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. Here is a look at how some people will mark the centenary of the Armistice.

- Festival of Remembrance

The Queen and senior members of the royal family will attend the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at London's Royal Albert Hall on Saturday. This year's festival will commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflicts and will mark 100 years since the First World War ended. The event is an opportunity for the nation to say thanks to all who served, and to those who sacrificed their lives. The Queen will be joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

- National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph

The Prince of Wales will once again lead the nation in honouring the country's war dead during the national service of remembrance. The Queen has asked Charles to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Whitehall on her behalf - the second successive year he will perform the duty. The Queen will watch from the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office building, as she did last year. After Charles has laid a wreath, other floral tributes will be left by members of the royal family, senior figures from the Government, including Prime Minister Theresa May, and opposition party leaders and other figures from national life. For the first time, a German leader will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph, with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier performing the duty on behalf of his nation in a historic act of reconciliation.

- Church services

The Queen, Charles and Camilla, William and Kate, and Harry and Meghan will attend a service at Westminster Abbey. During the day, church and other bells will ring out as they did at the end of the First World War - and a Westminster Abbey service will be held along with others in Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast, to give thanks for peace and those who returned. During the Welsh Guards' Regimental Remembrance Sunday, Charles will attend a service in the Guards' Chapel with service personnel and their families. He will then lay a wreath at the Guards' Memorial.

A series of installations have been unveiled across the UK to highlight reasons to say ‘Thank You’ to the First World War generation. The Legion is calling on the nation to wear their poppies with pride and back its ‘Thank You’ movement in the year that marks the end of the First World War centenary.

A host of well-known names including Sir Tom Jones, Sheridan Smith, Sir Bryn Terfel, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and the Kingdom Choir performed alongside the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and the Band of HM Royal Marines. Both Sheku Kanneh-Mason and the Kingdom Choir performed at the Royal wedding of the Sussexes in May.

Who put Harry and Meghan in the cheap seats?

Several members of the Royal family attended the Royal Albert Hall tonight to pay tribute to the British victims of WWI.

Among them were the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex were also in attendance but, for some reason, they were both seated at the back of the box, far away from the front row.

Shots of the royal box showed the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sitting close together while Harry and Meghan were almost out of view in the far corner.

In 1927 the concert was simply renamed the ‘Remembrance Festival’ and featured community songs including 'Pack up Your Troubles', 'Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty', and 'Tipperary'. The event ended with a service that has now become familiar, featuring 'The Last Post' and ending in 'God Save the King'.

The silence represents the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918, when the guns of Europe fell silent.
The time is marked by the firing of a field gun on Horse Guards Parade.

The National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Whitehall is a unique expression of homage devoted to the memory of those who have given their lives in war. It was originally conceived as a commemoration of the First World War's dead by King George V in 1919, but after the Second World War the scope of the ceremony was extended to focus on the dead of both wars. Remembrance Day or Memorial Day is observed in Commonwealth countries

メーガン妃は、

やはり、何はともあれ、
ダークカラーが心地良いのでしょうね、
メーガン妃にとっては。

そしてこのセットアップ、
以前にお召しになっていた
プラダのセットアップと似てるような、、？？

ブランドなど詳細は、パレスからは明かされておらず、
もしや、どこかのブランドからのリースとか？？

それにしても、メーガン妃も
好きなものは好き！
色違いでも購入？
は、キャサリン妃と同じのよう。。

もしくは、似たデザインをビスポークとか？
異なるブランドに依頼するには、とっても失礼な話だけどw

The Queen and the President of Germany placed fresh flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior. The flowers are brightly coloured to symbolise celebration, and include heather, gerbera, lilies, roses and chrysanthemums.

The Grave of the Unknown Warrior (often known as 'The Tomb of the Unknown Warrior') holds an unidentified British soldier killed on a European battlefield during the First World War. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, London on 11 November 1920, simultaneously with a similar interment of a French unknown soldier at the Arc de Triomphe in France, making both graves the first to honour the unknown dead of the First World War.

During his address, the Archbishop of Canterbury said: "The final verdict on evil is defeat...On this day we remember, in order to act...Enemies have reconciled and that is hope for the world."

Other royals in attendance included the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Prince Michael of Kent.
