クイーンが主催される、毎年恒例バッキンガム宮殿で行われるホワイトタイ・パーティー☆
当初、来年までご夫妻は出席されないだろうと予測されていたが、
結果、お二人揃って出席。
これは、確実にフルタイムでロイヤル公務にシフトしていっていることを意味し、
既に、ウィリアム王子のキングへの準備の為であろうと言われている。
運転手付きのベントレーで、共に後部座席に座られ、
ケンジントン宮殿から、バッキンガム宮殿へと向かわれた、
ウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃♥
バッキンガム宮殿に到着された、
車中のお二人の画像が撮られました。
なんといっても、その時目が釘付けとなったのが・・・・
キャサリン妃の頭に輝くティアラ！！！
ロイヤルウェディング後初めてです！！！
ちらりと見える、淡いブルー？に見えるドレスもNEW！！！
ダイアモンドとパールのこちらのティアラは、
”パピルス・ティアラ” とも言われ、
クイーンマザーが旦那様からプレゼントされた
《Garrard》のネックレスから作り変えたものらしく、
毎年、172人のＵＫ内のアンバサダー？外交官
伝統的、クラシックなものもお好きな、キャサリン妃は、
パールも好きですしね～～
これを選ばれたのもうなずけますね。
ロイヤルウェディングの時の《カルティエ》のティアラより、高さがありますね。
パレス側もこの日、
このティアラが、マーガレット王女所有のモノであったと認めた。
It is a particularly delicate diamond tiara of fanned motifs crowned by floating diamond arches and studded with two pearls at the base and a central top pearl.
It was made from one of her wedding gifts, a necklace of a Greek key pattern with pendant diamonds and pearls given by her husband, the future George VI. Jewellers Garrard dismantled it and created a tiara instead.
Although Prince William and his wife have studiously avoided attending any state banquets since their wedding (when a tiara is obligatory), claiming they are left to senior working royals, tonight’s reception was something of a three-line whip.
There are 172 Foreign Missions currently accredited to the Court of St James’s in London, because St. James’s Palace is still the senior palace and official residence of the Sovereign.
Each year the Queen throws a lavish reception in their honour, where members of the royal family make a point of meeting and greeting each one.

It is a particularly delicate diamond tiara of fanned motifs crowned by floating diamond arches and studded with two pearls at the base and a central top pearl.
A Tiara a Day notes that the original necklace was create by Garrard Jewelers. In the 1920s (when she was known as the Duchess of York) the Queen Mum decided she preferred the diamonds and pearls be worn atop her head as opposed to around her neck. Garrad was given the task of disassembling the necklace and then recreating it into the tiara seen on the Queen Mum and then on Princess Margaret, and now, on Kate. (It has also been worn by others. Princess Margaret’s daughter-in-law, Viscountess Linley, née Serena Stanhope, wore it on her wedding day.) This stunning image comes from the book Tiaras: A History of Splendour, by Geoffrey C. Munn, via the Royal Post.

Kate was spotted wandering around the contemporary art section on the ground floor.
[Duchess]girl in jeans and black boots caught the eye of passers-by at Chelsea’s Lots Road auction rooms?
But was it really her?
A film crew making a documentary on the auction rooms elsewhere in the building left her alone.
But one plucky customer did enquire: ‘Are you the real deal?’
She somewhat averred that, indeed, it was.
Her fellow bargain hunter had noticed the police bodyguard shadowing the Duchess - who studied History of Art at St Andrews - as she checked out the works on offer, ahead of Sunday’s auction, which she did not attend.
Alas I cannot say what piece took her fancy.
But perhaps Prince William will find it in his stocking.
As Kate prepares for a busy week of engagements, she stepped out in skinny jeans and black boots at Chelsea's Lots Road Auction Rooms today. A fellow bargain hunter noticed a bodyguard shadowing the Duchess who was wandering around the contemporary art section on the ground floor. According to Richard Kay, one customer asked if it was really her, to which she "somewhat shyly averred that, indeed it was". Perhaps Kate was doing a little Christmas shopping.

A look at antique artefacts on display. Kate is regularly spotted shopping for antiques, and I imagine the couple's Kensington Palace apartment is filled with fabulous vintage pieces.
Meanwhile, rumours have been circulating regarding the Cambridges' Australian tour next year. Royal reporters believe stories suggesting Carole Middleton will accompany the couple are false. The Mirror's story shares a couple of tidbits:

めっちゃオフのシーン！！！
しかも初の散歩姿☆
Lupoも一緒の、３ショット♥
ママとなって初ですよ～～～！
やっぱステキなママだわあ～～～
だって、この格好！
お散歩する為の格好でしょ◎
シックなアウトドアスタイルに足元も当然スニーカー
エライなああ。
こういうトコロが大好きです、彼女の。

予想した、超クラシックなデザインではなく、
