this morning opened the Children’s Day Surgery Unit 

＠ Evelina Children’s Hospital

さて、クリスマス休暇を前に

立て続けに公務に登場が予想されるキャサリン妃ですが

この日は、すでにわかっているお忙しい1日。

通常の公務と

ホワイト隊のイベントが同日にあり！

昼夜で、全く別人状態の七変化です❤️

まずは、公務

2018年からパトロンとなられている、

“エヴァリナ小児病院“のお仕事

以前にも、この病院を訪問されていますが、

この日は、この小児病院で、

小児の”日帰り手術室”が開設され、

その公式オープンに出席。

この新しい施設は、

同センター内で手術が必要な子どもや若者のケアを一新し、

必要なものすべてを一箇所で提供することができるそう。

滞在中は、

新たな施設の視察はもちろん、

スタッフ達からのヒアリング

また、子供達と一緒に、オープンを記念したリボンカットも。

ここで、実際に手術を行った子供やその親子さんとも

対面されたキャサリン妃

その中には、

９歳の少年、トニー・ハッジル君とも再会

この少年は、

生みの親から虐待を受けて足を失うという過去をもつも

彼をケアしてくれた、エヴェリナ小児病院を支援するために

義足で10キロを歩き

160万ポンド以上の募金を集めました。

今回の手術室の建設に、5500万ポンドをかけたとされるが

その中に、彼の募金が入っているのでしょう。

すごい、、、

現在、育ての母と一緒に、出席

2021年の、キャサリン妃の”クリスマス・キャロル”

で初対面され、その際ウィリアム皇太子を含め、

ご夫妻はこの少年に魅了され、長く会話をされていたのだとか。

 The new facility will transform care for children and young people who need surgery by providing everything they need in one place, delivering a family-focused experience which will enable the organisation to treat up to an additional 2,300 children a year. 

Housed in the state-of-the-art Children's Day Treatment Centre, the unit has two brand new operating theatres. Families will benefit from a one-day service, with pre-surgery checks, the operation, and recovery all taking place seamlessly in one purposely designed space, on the same day.

この新しい施設は、手術が必要な子どもや若者のケアを一変させるもので、

必要なものすべてを一か所で提供し、家族に焦点を当てた体験を提供することで、

年間2,300人以上の子どもたちの治療を可能にする。

最先端の小児デイ・トリートメント・センター内にあるこのユニットには、

2つの真新しい手術室がある。

家族は、手術前のチェック、手術、回復がすべて専用に設計された1つのスペースで、

同じ日にシームレスに行われる1日サービスを受けることができる。

では、この時のファッション〜！

やはり！という感じではあったが

べきかお仕事モードのパンツスーツ！

またですか、、、？！とは思ったが（笑）

よく見れば、NEWのアイテム！

更に、またパンツスーツが増えた！（笑）

とはいっても、鉄板の《アレキサンダー・マックイーン》

と、やはりお気に入りのデザインを、色違いで新たに追加

いっそ変えてくれ、という気がしなくもないけれど（私の心の声）

マックイーンといえば、

今シーズンでサラ・バートン氏が退任してしまったけれど

これは、まだサラさんのデザイン。

今後、この方の動向がどうであれ、

キャサリン妃とバートン氏との関係は続きそうで、それならホッ。

パンツスーツの形も同じとなれば

代わり映え、、、と思いきや

注目ポイントは、コーデ！

セットアップで着るのはこれまでと同じだが、

中に同系色のニットを着用し、全身ワントーンコーデでパンツスーツを着こなし。

しかも中にニット。

推測では、どうやらこのニット

2016年のカナダツアーの際にお召しになっていた

《ジグソー》っぽい

あの時は、アウトドアの超カジュアルスタイルだっただけに

今回のシャープなスタイルとはイメージが全然違うが

何より、色が見事にマッチしてるから凄い❤️

ある意味シックでスタイリッシュだわ

パンプスもスエードのネイビーブルーで

素材感や色が微妙に違うのが、逆にセンス良い感じにまとまっている

そして、最後にアクセントとして

ダイアナ妃のものと推測される、

サファイア＆ダイヤモンドのイヤリングとネックレス

パンツスーツの着こなしもこなれてこられました。

The Princess of Wales has opened the new Children’s Day Surgery Unit at Evelina London Children's Hospital. 

The new facility will transform care for children and young people needing surgery at the centre and will provide them with everything they need in one place. 

The Princess has visited the hospital before, having been a patron since 2018

showed off her signature bouncy blow-dry ignoring recent revelations caused by Omid Scobie's book Endgame

 comforts a person during a visit to officially open the Evelina London Children's Day Surgery Unit at London's Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital

In a sweet moment the Princess appeared to give a hug to the family member of a patient 

spoke to patients and their parents inside the hospital 

 listened to both parents and children

The new facility, which cost £55million to build, allows children to be treated in one location on the same day, reducing the stress caused by numerous hospital visits.

The young amputee previously charmed Kate and Prince William at her festive carol concert in 2021

The young amputee was filmed posing with the royal, as well as his emotional adopted mother

 appeared to prove she really was the children's Princess today as she greeted kids at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London

The Princess looked in her element as she chatted to children

recieving a bouquet from a young boy in the hospital

 looked at ease and put any royal drama behind her as she walked side-by-side with hospital's chief executive Gubby Ayida.

同日、夜には

毎年恒例の外交使節団のレセプションが開催！！！

年に数回しかない、超フォーマルな

ホワイトタイのイベントです❤️❤️

チャールズ国王の戴冠後、初となる今年ですね。

実は、かつては公開されておらず

思い返せば、バッキンガムパレスに向かわれる

皆様のお車の中の姿をチラ見するだけだった、、、

それが、2018年から公式画像も公開されるようになり

記念画像も撮影＆公開され

華麗なる全身のお姿を拝見できるようになりました。

ありがたや🙏

では、お着替えをされ

夜は、ソワレ姿で登場のキャサリン妃❤️

ローズピンクのソワレを着用！！

が見覚えあり。。。

今年6月、ヨルダンのロイヤルウェディングに出席された際デビューしたものですね〜

もう着回し（笑）

というのも、

対外的に、いわゆる外交戦略が必要ないシーンでは

着回しをされるという、賢い皇太子妃。

ご存知《ジェニー・パッカム》のもの

全身スパンコールのベースに、クリスタルなど

色や素材の異なる装飾がなされたドレス。

実はこのデザインも、キャサリン妃のお気に入りで

これまで愛用されてきた、グリーンの色違いっぽい。

色が変わるとイメージも異なる上に

ティアラも着用されると、もはや別のドレスにすら一見見えたり、、、しないかw

この日のドレスに合わされたティアラは、

”ラヴァーズ・ノット”

ご存じ、ダイアナ妃が愛用されていたものですね

キャサリン妃にとっても定番

前回のホワイトタイ(先月の韓国大統領夫妻との晩餐会)では、

初めて、クイーンマザーの想い出の深いティアラ

(ストラスモア・ローズ・ティアラ)

をお着けになりましたが

（しかも私は酷評(~_~;)）

今回はまた鉄板ティアラに戻った形。。。

このドレスになら、”ストラスモア”のティアラ合うと思うんだが、、

逆だったらよかったかも、、、

ま、ラヴァーズノットは勿論、合わせやすい上に

元々、キャサリン妃のお顔に合う。

そして、ティアラ着用となると、

負けないジュエリー選びが、実は重要

エリザベス女王が1947年の結婚時、ご両親から贈られた想い出のイヤリング

“グレヴィル・シャンデリア・イヤリング

を着用

これまでにもキャサリン妃は、何度か愛用されてきましたね。

ハーフムーン、トラペーゼ、スクエア、バトン、エメラルドと

様々なカットが施されたダイヤモンドが組み合わされ

シャンデリアのようにセットアッされた

クラシックかつモダンなドレスにもマッチするイヤリング

そして、ホワイトタイにはマストなこちら❤️２つの勲章も。

①エリザベス女王のお顔が描かれた

“ロイヤル・ファミリー・オーダー”

②8年目の結婚を記念してエリザベス女王から贈られた、

最高位の“ロイヤル・ヴィクトリア勲章”

ブルーのサッシュと共に、肩からお掛けになっています。

そのサッシュを留めているのは、

《ベントリー＆スキナー》のブローチ。

推測ですが、もはやサッシュとセット使いのようにもお見うけするだけに

このアール・デコのブローチは

チャールズ国王からキャサリン妃へプレゼントされたのかも、、

そして、さりげなく持たれている同系色のクラッチ

《プラダ》のものですが、

これは、キャサリン妃が結婚当初からお持ちのものなので、

最低でも11年以上愛用ということに。

このドレスとも見事にあってるし、このコーデにピッタリ❤️

よくここまで色が合うものだ、、、

改めて、キャサリン妃の着回し術、というより

購入される際の審美眼か、、

それがお見事。

よって新旧コーデが上手いということに。

Ahead of the event, a new official portrait of King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales was released. Taken by Chris Jackson in the 1844 Room at Buckingham Palace, it echoes an image released from the event in 2016 of the four royals with the late Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh (included later in the post). Queen Camilla styled a white gown with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, the Queen Mother's stomacher brooch and diamond earrings.

この日はまた、定番のラヴァーズ・ノットに❤️

The tiara features elements of the Gothic Revival style. 

The circle of the Cambridge Lover's Knot is made up of a lower semi-circular band, set with a row of brilliant cut diamonds. Where two adjacent arches meet, a pillar-like structure is formed that rises up and ends in a round diamond, forming a diamond spike. There are nineteen diamond spikes of this nature and the size gradually decreases from the centre towards both ends. We've previously discussed just how heavy Diana found it, sometimes opting to borrow the Spencer family tiara, as she found it headache inducing

Greville Chandelier earrings again. The stunning earrings were a wedding gift to the then Princess Elizabeth from her parents in 1947.

 According to the Royal Collection Trust:

 "Their design incorporates a lexicon of modern diamond cuts, including half-moon, trapeze, square, baguette, baton and emerald."

GCVO regalia. In April 2019, to coincide with William and Kate's eighth wedding anniversary, 

the Queen appointed her granddaughter-in-law Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order for services to the Sovereign. The Royal Victorian Order was established in 1896 by Queen Victoria to recognize personal service to the monarch. 

Like the Royal Family Order, the blue sash with red and white trim and the star of the order will be worn at white-tie occasions throughout Kate's life.
