  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended Friday's service for their first joint royal engagement in two years
  • Palace aides were said to have planned timings to ensure the couple didn't bump into Prince William and Kate
  • The Sussexes sat on the other side of the aisle from William, Kate, Prince Charles and Camilla in the church
  • The couple also arrived and were seated inside St Paul's Cathedral minutes earlier than the senior royals
  • The senior royals went on to a Guildhall reception while Harry and Meghan returned to Frogmore Cottage

 "Before and after the service, St Paul’s Cathedral Guild of Ringers will ring ‘Stedman Cinques’. This time they will be joined by Great Paul, the largest church bell in the UK weighing more than 16 tons. The service of thanksgiving will be the first royal occasion it has been rung since its restoration in 2021."

These guests have all been recipients of honours in the New Year or Birthday Honours lists, many for their work throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.   • 11.06am: Harry and Meghan meet clergy members
  • 11.07am: Harry and Meghan are led to their seats
  • 11.08am: Harry and Meghan take their seats next to Jack Brooksbank and Lady Sarah Chatto
  • 11.15am: Prince William and Kate arrive and are greeted by the Lord Mayor
  • 11.16am: William and Kate walk into the cathedral
  • 11.17am: William and Kate meet members of the clergy
  • 11.23am: Procession of clergy begins
  • 11.25am: William and Kate walk down the aisle with Prince Charles and Camilla in the royal procession
  • 11.27am: William, Kate, Charles and Camilla are shown to their seats
  • 11.30am: Service begins
  • 12.20pm: Service ends and William, Kate, Charles and Camilla leave their seats
  • 12.21pm: Harry and Meghan leave their seats
  • 12.24pm: Charles, Camilla, William and Kate leave the church and get into cars
  • 12.27pm: Harry and Meghan leave the church and get into a car
