まず、この日は、
『the State Opening of Parliament』
（英国議会開会式）
医療チームのアドバイスにより
エリザベス女王が、欠席されることに。
女王が、この恒例式典に欠席されたのは
59年ぶりのこと。
70年の在位中で、３度め、らしい。
この事実が、そもそも凄いんですけどね。
よって、代理としてチャールズ皇太子が出席
女王のスピーチを読み上げられた。
通常、女王がお座りになる場所に
”大英帝国王冠”
が置かれ
チャールズ皇太子は、
生前エディンバラ公が生前座られていたところに。
そして、そばにはカミラ夫人も。
さらには、今回初めて
ウィリアム王子も同席された。
ますます
次世代への移行という流れが強く感じられることに。
いつものように手慣れたスピーチとは、やや異なる雰囲気で
少し緊張されていたようにもお見受け。
皇太子だって緊張しますよね、、、
またひとつ大役。。
一方ウィリアム王子の方はというと
おそらく急遽の出席決定？！と推測するが
余裕ありげにも見えたり、、、
お立場も違うから？とはいえ、貫禄ありげにすら見えた。。
個人的感想ですが、、
しかし、うまく次世代への経験として引き継がれている。。

which commemorates the victims of the 22nd May 2017 terrorist attack
＠ Manchester Arena
It honours the twenty-two people whose lives were taken,
as well as remembering everyone who was left injured or affected,
and follows William's first appearance at the State Opening of Parliament this morning. Kate's wearing bee earrings in tribute to Manchester.
- Structure is a white marble 'halo' bearing the names of those killed in the attack five years ago in May 2017
- Families of those who lost loved ones have made personalised memory capsules embedded inside the halo
- Kate Middleton paid tribute to the city by wearing earrings with a bee emblem alongside a Michael Kors coat
- William gave a speech in which he spoke of 'living with grief', saying: 'There is a comfort in remembering'

出迎えた聖職者の方たちとご挨拶をされた後
ウィリアム王子のスピーチ。
そして、キャサリン妃が記念碑に献花を。
記念碑のデザイナーや、
マンチェスター市議会のトップによるメモリアルガーデンの案内も。
メモリアルガーデンの白い大理石は、
”Halo”（後光）
を表現しているそう。
その後、
マンチェスター大聖堂にて
被害者の家族たちとのレセプションが行われた模様。
その際に、犠牲者家族から贈られたと思しきブレスレットを
キャサリン妃が着用
ピンクに黒で
”We Choose Love'
と書かれている。

Prince William and Kate went on to join a private reception inside Manchester Cathedral, where they spoke with some of the bereaved families and those involved in the response effort
After leaving the reception, the Duchess crouched down to chat with one young boy Scout who presented her with a bouquet of flowers

You’ll see lots of references to cotton on the building, and cotton was the industry that made Manchester rich, the city’s equivalent of honey.
