at the St Patrick's Day parade in Aldershot. Stepping out on Thursday to celebrate the Irish saint, William and Kate's outing marked the first time they attended the parade since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Duchess, dressed suitably in green, joined William, who is Colonel of the Irish Guards, in visiting the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at Mons Barracks. The royals were tasked with presenting the traditional sprigs of shamrock to the officers and guardsmen, who in turn issued it along the ranks
Kate also had the honour of presenting the Irish Wolf Hound regimental mascot with his own sprig of shamrock. The parade then concluded with a march-past where William took the salute

The two-year-old dog, called Turlogh Mor, is also known as Seamus
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow to celebrate St Patrick's day by attending the annual parade, with the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards today.
It marks the first time Prince William and Kate have been able to attend the event in two years, with the celebrating called off in 2021 due to the pandemic and the parade cancelled in 2020 due to most of the regiment being deployed overseas.
This year, the couple picked back up their annual tradition of presenting the gift of sprigs of shamrock to officers and guardsmen who then distribute them across the rank.
This is a 121-year tradition, usually carried out by a female member of the royal family, which began in 1901 with Queen Alexander, and for many years the Queen Motherperformed the duty, followed by Princess Anne.

3月17日といえば
アイルランドにキリスト教を広めた、聖人パトリックの命日
アイルランドの祝日。
毎年この日には”聖パトリックデーの式典＆パレードが行われていましたが、
コロナウイルスの感染拡大によって中止に。
2019年以来、3年ぶりに再開、ということに。
ウィリアム王子は、
ロイヤルウェディングでユニフォームを着用されていたように
2011年から、イギリス陸軍の大佐
（エリザベス女王が連隊長）
その妻キャサリン妃が、
（出産前後以外）
毎年欠かすことなく出席されてきた恒例イベント
連隊のパレードを、見守られるウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃
その後、ガーズメンたちへ、アイルランド伝統のシャムロックの小枝を授与。
その最後は、毎年注目の
連隊のマスコット犬（アイリッシュ・ウルフハウンド）へ
キャサリン妃が付けてあげるシーン。
そういえば、このイベントでキャサリン妃が
皆さんへシャムロックをお渡しになるのも伝統
1901年、アレクサンドラ王妃からの伝統で、
ロイヤルの女性メンバーが渡すことに。
よって、かつてはクイーンマザーや、アン王女などが同じように。
そして、今年はそれ以外にも話題のシーンが。
アイリッシュガーズの大隊長の、1歳8ヶ月の娘さんが
キャサリン妃へブーケを渡すお役目を。
その大役のあと
父（大隊長）が娘に、
ベアスキン（熊の毛皮）の帽子を被せるという行動！
その様子を、微笑ましくご覧になっていたご夫妻。
ウィリアム王子は微笑ましく、レベルだったが、
キャサリン妃は、大口開けての大爆笑（笑）
超キュートな少女とキャサリン妃でした。
コロナ禍で久々の対面となったからか、
この日、例年よりも
皆さんが気さくに交流されていたように感じた。
また最近恒例のと
ご夫妻のラブラブシーンも♡
キャサリン妃ファッション！
勿論、アイルランドカラーのグリーン。
ワントーンコーデで、全身で敬意を示された形。

ミリタリーテイストのフィット＆フレアー
キャサリン妃にとっては、初ブランドとなる

英国ではすでに、
ロイヤルアスコットなどでよく着用されている、人気のブランドのようで
上品で、華やか、フェミニンなお洋服がお得意な英国ブランド
しかも、驚くことに、デザイナーは
ブランド立ち上げ前まで、10年以上も
《キャサリン・ウォーカー》で
働いていたのだとか。
そりゃあ、ロイヤルスタイルお得意だろうし
キャサリン妃が気にいるのも当然、、、、
この日の新ドレスコートも
一見《アレキサンダー・マックイーン》っぽいんだが
もっとフェミニン
マックイーンがモードで、こちらは女性らしい。
素材や肩のデザインなどは、シャープなミリタリーテイストだけど
襟の剣先が長めでレトロだったり、
ウエストから下のシルエットが、
シンプルなフィット＆フレアーのロング丈と、
とってもフェミニン。
この絶妙なバランスが、きっとキャサリン妃はお好きね。
私はマックイーンが良いが、、（笑）
だから、今後も、このブランドのお洋服は増えるね、絶対。
洋服に合わせて、ピアスもグリーンで。
エメラルドグリーンが、凛としてシックな装いに華やかさをプラス。
パンプスなどは、スエードのグリーンで落ち着かせているところがうまい。
ワントーンコーデにおいて、
素材や、色味でのグラデーションが
実は、成功のキー。

最近のお気に入り？！
クラシックムードでお似合いだが。。。
前回のコモンウェルスデーの時の物と似てるけど
実は、異なるブランド
こちらは《ロック＆コー》
これまでは、ベースが浅めで、
華やかな装飾があり、
ツバが大きいものへと変化してきましたが、
どうやら、ここにきて、レトロな方向性にシフトチェンジ？
全体のイメージを決定づけるのが帽子なだけに、
今後のキャサリン妃の帽子選びがとっても気になりなる！
そして、超感動したのは、この日のヘア！！
とっても可愛い♡
ピルボックス型のお帽子って、
ともすれば、顔が地味にも見えうる帽子なのだが、
それを知ってか、凝ったアップスタイル
左右アシメトリー、というか、
どこから見ても変化のあるアレンジで、絶妙なバランスでよく考えられている。。
ボウの装飾がある、耳にかかる向かって左側は、
ボリュームを抑えつつ緩く編んだスタイル。
もう一方、帽子に装飾がない片側には、
大きなお団子をつくってポイントを。
かなり高度なセンス、、、と思うも、
やはり帽子とヘアの関係は大事。
そして、これらが、
全体を決める❤️
今週すでに2度登場のキャサリン妃ですが、
なんと今日から、ロイヤルツアーがスタート！！！
なんともお忙しい、、、

超面白かった、英国映画❤️
今月25日(金) から公開中です！！！
『ゴヤの名画と優しい泥棒』
これ、なんと実話で、
1961年に、ロンドンのナショナル・ギャラリーで起こった
ゴヤの名画が盗まれちゃう、というお話なんだけれど
単なる盗難事件、というのも変だけど
そういう感じじゃなくて、
「えっ？！？！」
「あ〜〜、とってもイギリスっぽい、、、、笑」
と、どんどん引き込まれる映画でした。
主人公をジム・ブロードベントが、
その妻役を、ヘレン・ミレン！！！
面白くないわけがない！！！
この夫婦のバランスとか
やりとりとか、まさにイギリス❤️だし。
笑えて泣ける、元気も出る！
コロナ禍で悶々としたり
風の、新たな時代に突入した今だからこそ
まさにぴったり！！！
って気がした。
ブレない、とか自分らしさとは、とか
とにかく終わったら、スッキリ、元気が
私は出ました。
そもそもは、英国映画ということで、
たまたまご紹介頂いたんだけど
なんとコメントさせて頂くことになり、、、
なぜか、宣伝ポスター、看板とかにちらりと入る可能性が！！
ビックリです。

監督は、あの
『ノッティングヒルの恋人』のロジャー・ミッシェル氏
昨年、9月にお亡くなりになったそうで
これが長編遺作に。
ノッティングヒルも大好きな方は是非！
私も、マスト映画です。
そういえば、書き間違えておりましたが
すでに告知はされてましてね
こっそり”渋谷HUMAX”にみに行ったら
あったーーーー！！！
エレベーターの扉に
