『ダイアナ元妃の60歳BDを記念し、来年彫像建設』

”Statue of Diana to be installed on her 60th birthday”

 ＠ Kensington Palace next year

A statue commissioned by the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex 

to pay tribute to their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, 

will be installed on what would have been her 60th birthday in 2021.

来年、ダイアナ元妃の60歳のバースデーを記念し

ケンジントンパレスに

妃の彫像が設置されることが分かった。

ケンブリッジ公爵ご夫妻＆サセックス公爵ご夫妻によるもの。

これは、もともと

ダイアナ元妃の没後20周年を記念し

2017年に発表された。

妃が世界にもたらしたポジティブな影響を認識するものとして

ご兄弟が、決められた。

ケンジントンパレスによると

コロナウイルスのパンデミックによって

この設置予定が遅れていたが、

来年、2021年7月1日に

ケンジントンパレスのサンクン・ガーデン

にて設置される予定。

彫像を掘るのは

英国の彫刻家

《イアン・ランク・ブロードリー》

この方といえば、

英国のコインの中の、エリザベス女王のポートレートも創られた有名な方。

明日が、まさにダイアナ元妃の命日

当時ウィリアム王子は15歳

ハリー王子は12歳

何度見ても、

お二人が、棺の後を歩く画像がいたたまれません。

しかし、この

愛する母の彫像の設置が

兄妹の関係を少しでも良くしてくれることを

私だけでなく

英国やファンみんなが期待していることでしょう。

The dukes have previously said now is the right time to recognise their mother’s positive impact “in the UK and around the world”.

In a statement when the project was announced, William and Harry said:

 “Our mother touched so many lives. We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and her legacy.”

The statue was created by renowned artist 《Ian Rank-Broadley》,

 whose portrait of the Queen appears on all UK coins.

The artwork was commissioned to mark the 20th anniversary of Princess of Wales and to recognise her positive impact on the world.

Kensington Palace said the installation has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, but will take place in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace on July 1, 2021.

• Joined by staff and volunteers on call and praised the sport's 'family feeling'  
• Joked about taking part of the quiz and said he should 'have the rest of my family on the other side of the camera' to help with answers
• Also said he 'definitely would have been back to the UK' were it not for Covid-19

Prince Harry hosted his first ever Zoom quiz to mark the occasion, and joked that if he had been taking part 'he would have had the rest of my family on the other side of the family.'

英国に戻ることを示唆

実は、コロナウイルス感染拡大がなければ、

帰国も予定されていたことも明らかに。

 'We've got a whole Rugby League world cup coming next year. I definitely plan on coming back. I would have been back already had it not been for Covid.

Talking about the sport, he said: 

"It can bring so many families together, bring so many people together."

 "It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the stands, whether you’re the groundsman, whether you’re a player, whether you’re a fan or whether you’re a first-time watcher, every single person is bound by this family feeling."

The 2021 Rugby League World Cup is set to held in England between 23 October and 27 November. 

Harry hosted the Rugby League World Cup 2021 draw at Buckingham Palace in January this year, and referenced the occasion in the call.

"We've got a whole rugby world cup, rugby league world cup, coming next year," he said.

"So I definitely plan on coming back, I would have been back already had it not been for covid."
