この新たなアレンジにより、ロイヤルとしての公務や軍の任務から退くことが求められることを彼らは理解しています。公務のための、公的資金を受け取ることもありません。

女王の寛大な理解により、引き続きプライベートなパトロネージュや組織は維持するでしょう。今後、彼らは正式なる女王の代理という立場ではなくなりますが、しかしながら彼らが行う全てのことは、女王の価値観に基づいて行われることを、名言しています。

The main points of the new agreement:

• Although Harry and Meghan retain their HRH titles, they will no longer use them. They will now be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
• Harry and Meghan want to repay the £2.4 million used to refurbish and renovate Frogmore Cottage. They will pay rent on the property moving forward.
• While they are no longer working royals in any capacity, they will retain their patronages and private associations. Harry will step down from military appointments and his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, though he and Meghan will remain President and Vice-President of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust.
• They made clear all their future work "will uphold the values of the Queen".
• Prince Charles will continue to privately offer financial support for the time being, though possibly not Duchy money (other private funds).
• It is thought Harry and Meghan will carry out some engagements in the UK in the coming weeks or months before this new plan takes effect. 
• They will attend some events at the invitation of the Queen such as Trooping the Colour.
• In the future they will spend the majority of their time in Canada and some parts of the year in the UK.
• Harry and Meghan and the Royal family will review the situation in 2021.  
• Details on their security and whether or not they will continue to call their foundation Sussex Royal will follow in due course.

エリザベス女王としては、これが最善といえますねえ。

”ファミリー“をアピール

祖母としての立場を前面に出し、

名前を最もシンプルな呼び名にされたところに、

まず注目

これまでなら声明には、

たとえ身内であっても正式名称だったが

ここではあえてファミリー的な呼び方に。

爵位も剥奪？と推測を呼ぶ感じも、

むしろ、これで国民反応見て決めるとか？

と思ってしまった。

すぐ後に

HRHの敬称に関しては、

保持すると訂正

が、使用しない、という

むしろややこしいことに。

爵位については、依然疑問のまま。。。

それにしても、やはり、

公的資金は要らないといっても

中途半端な公務の仕方は許されませんでしたね。

これは私も同感(英国民じゃないけど)

ただ、

今後も、ロイヤルから受け継いだものではなく、

プライベートな慈善団体や組織の活動は続けて良いと。

とはいっても、あくまでも

女王の価値観の元に。

いざとなれば牛耳れるようにも。。

しかし、全体の雰囲気は、

可愛い孫夫婦よ、

特に嫁いでくれたメーガンに感謝

“自由な人生を歩みなさい。

でも家族には変わりませんよ。”

完璧ですね。

もう、孫ハリー王子の気持ちが止められないものなら、

これしかない。

そして、いつもながらの

素早い決断も手伝って

残る、女王やロイヤルファミリーへの打撃は少ないはず。

何よりこれが大事、でしょう、きっと。

しかし、一方の夫妻

というか、ハリー王子、、、

軍やアツい思いで関わっていたチャリティが継続できず

でも自由のために、

フロッグモアの改修費も払い

、今後は維持費も。

メーガン妃にとっては

今後の活動にプラスしか無いが

夫ハリー王子には、結局何がプラス？

家族を守りたい、は叶うが

自由になりたい、これは恐らく無理

What do the bombshell statements mean?

Buckingham Palace has issued its latest statement concerning the crisis surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

What does it say?

Harry and Meghan are no longer going to be working royals, will not be carrying out royals duties and they will not use their HRH styles.

What does this mean?

The couple have effectively stepped down, not just as senior royals, but as working royals in general.

The dual role they suggested in their bombshell statement - of earning their own money and carrying out royal duties - is not going to happen.

How will they be funded?

Buckingham Palace said they will no longer receive public funds for royal duties, because they will not be carrying any out.

When will the changes take place?

In the spring of 2020.

Will they be financially independent?

Not completely. They will the earn their own money, but the Prince of Wales will also continue to offer private financial support to the couple.

This is expected to come from his £2.1 million a year Duchy of Cornwall income.

Will they still get round the clock protection officers paid for by the taxpayers?

Buckingham Palace said it does not comment on security matters.

But it added: 'There are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly funded security.'

And what about Frogmore Cottage?

Harry and Meghan will pay back £2.4 million in taxpayers' money spent on renovating their Berkshire home.

Will they still use it as their base when in the UK?

Yes. And they will pay rent at a commercial rate on the property.

Where will they spend most time?

They will spend the majority of their time in North America.

What about their patronages?

They will keep their royal patronages as private patronages and associations.

But Harry will be stepping down from his military appointments.

He will no longer be Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Force Commandant of the Royal Air Force Base Honington, and Honorary Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Naval Commands' Small Ships and Diving.

What about their Commonwealth roles?

Harry is quitting his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.

But he will remain president of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, and Meghan will still be the Trust's vice-president.

What did the Queen say about the decision?

She said they had her support and she recognised the 'challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years'.

Harry and Meghan's Frogmore staff are let go 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s staff at Frogmore Cottage are being ‘let go’, in the surest sign yet the couple will settle in Canada, sources revealed yesterday.

At least two permanent employees – a house manager and a cleaner – are being moved to other duties within the Queen’s household.

Other members of staff who are used on an ad hoc basis, such as chefs, maids and footmen, have been told their services are no longer required at the couple’s Windsor residence.

Sources said Harry and Meghan operated Frogmore, on the Queen’s Windsor estate, with a ‘skeleton staff’ and no-one was being made redundant. But it is understood the employees are having to switch jobs as a ‘knock-on effect’ of the couple’s decision to relocate to North America for at least part of the year.

The revelation will fuel speculation among palace officials that the Duchess of Sussex, in particular, will never return to Britain to live in a ‘meaningful’ way.
