先日の、トゥルーピング・ザ・カラー以来の公の場。
この日、ヨーロッパで初となる、
なんと、メジャーリーグ ベースボールが、ここロンドンで開催！
その試合というのが、
ボストン、レッドソックスと、ニューヨーク、ヤンキース
私だって知ってます(笑)
先日発表されていたそうですが、
メジャーリーグと、カナダのTheMitelが、
ご存知、ハリー王子の“Invictus Game”とのチャリティ・パートナーシップを結んだそうで、
それによって、この
“ロンドン・シリーズ2019と名づけられた、この貴重な試合が実現。
シーズン中2試合が行われるとか。。
インヴィクタス・ゲームにとっては、
認知はもちろん、
重要な資金集めにもなります。
そもそも、なぜ突然野球？！
と思いきや、
メーガン妃は、長きにわたる、めっちゃ野球ファンだった！
以前から、
ロサンジェルス・ドジャース、シカゴ・ホワイト・ソックス、ニューヨークヤンキースなどの、
ベースボールキャップをかぶっている姿が
目撃されていたらしい。。。
インヴィクタス・ゲームも、
ハリー王子はもちろん、カップルとしても
交際後初めて、2ショットで登場されたのが、
カナダ、トロントでのインヴィクタスゲームでした。
特別な思い入れのあるイベントと、メーガン妃のファンである野球？
が結びついたカタチ？
メーガン妃の希望が反映された、というのか、
ともかく、結婚により
夫婦の興味が公務へ広がりをみせている、というのでしょうかね。
クイーン・エリザベス・オリンピック・パークに到着されたお2人は、
まず、
ヤンキースとレッド・ソックス、
両チームのクラブハウスへ。
両チームの選手たちとお会いになり、
それぞれのチームから、アーチー君へのプレゼント！
ベイビーサイズのユニフォームがご夫妻へ。
というかメーガン妃へ。
ヤンキースのものには、
アーチー、という名前と
背番号として、ご生誕の年、19
も入っていて、メーガン妃は大喜びのご様子。
実は、
お会いになった、
レッド・ソックスの選手の中の1人と
あることで話題にも。
外野手ムーキー・ベッツ氏(26歳)が、メーガン妃と会った際、
2人が遠い親戚であることを話にしたのだそう。
あまりに遡るため、「grand、grand、grand、、」
と説明するベッツ氏に対し、
メーガン妃が、ジョークめかして、後追いで同じことをw
一方、ハリー王子は、そんな様子を見て、
「他にも家族だと主張したい人いますか？」
と、lこちらもジョーク。
なにせ、ハリー王子との交際発覚以来、親戚が世間を騒がせただけに、
王子としては、この手の話を進展させたくない、と思っても不思議はない。。
でも、さすがセレブのメーガン妃は
少なくともハグでお返し。大人です(笑)
しかしメディアの情報によると、
時代は1870年代、アラバマでお2人の祖先が隣人であった可能性もありうるのだとか。
が、とはいえ、確信とまでもいかないようですが。。
そのあとは、
インヴィクタス・ゲームの過去の選手たちや、スタッフたちとレセプション
来年の開催、本番に向けて、色々とお聞きになったようです。
そして、いよいよレッド・ソックス VS ヤンキース
の試合開始！
ロンドン・スタジアムには、
なんと6万人の観客が集まったとか。。
登場された、ハリー王子＆メーガン妃は
息子が産まれても、やっぱり仲良く手をつないで。
個人的には、もういいよーーーーー(心の声)なんだが
これがむしろパフォーマンスではないからこそ、
周りがとやかくいったところで、、な話
試合中は、普通でしたけどね
って言っても、手元は見えてないけど、、、w
試合は、ヤンキースの勝利！
子供が大きな音を出してる子供がいたそうで、
その際に、アーチー君のことが会話に出た模様。
ハリー王子は、
この日の前夜、あまり寝れなかったことを告白され
メーガン妃は、
「始球式で投球を頼まれなくてホッとしたわ」
と話されたそう。
まだ、生後約70日のアーチー君ですもんね〜
まだまだ続きます。
親としてのハッピーな試練
まだお顔はふっくらですね〜、メーガン妃
足は、妊娠中も細かったので、変わらないけど。
意外にも体型の戻りが遅い、
というか、これが普通ですかね。。
では、産後ファッションは〜！
またもダーク！ってゆーか黒！
って、最初に思いましたが、
この日はちょっと納得。
なぜならば、
黒地にイエローのロゴが入った
インヴィクタス・ゲームの公式ポロシャツをお召しになった
ハリー王子とコーディネートされてる！
色を合わせて、カップルコーデ
見方を変えれば、
メーガン妃にとっては、堂々と黒が着れる！
しかし、ドレスはとっても素敵❤️
私も欲しいーーーー！！
色が違えば、キャサリン妃ドレスとも言える、
クルーネックに半袖、フィット＆フレアーに
大きなバックルのベルトがアクセントのこちらは
ステラ・マッカートニー
2着目のウェディングドレス、
ホルターネックのドレスのデザイナーであり
サステナブルな取り組みでも有名なので
メーガン妃とは絶対ウマがあうはず。
ちなみに、このドレス
製品は、首元にキーホールの開きがありますが、
メーガン妃には無し。
ということで、、これはビスポーク。
産後ということもありますしね、やはりビスポークですね。
でも、お好きなノースリーブではなく半袖だし、
ネックのデザインも変え、控えめに。
露出が全体的に抑えられたデザインというところに、
メーガン妃の意識変化を感じたり？
この日のファッションの、

珍しくフラット！！
だけど、
バックストラップとボウに見覚えがありまくり。。
メーガン妃の鉄板と言えるほど、超愛用ハイヒールのフラット版！

It celebrates the power of sport in recovery and how it can help, physically or psychologically, those suffering from injuries or illness. As part of the partnership, the Invictus Games Foundation have a team participating in London’s Softball60, the social softball series built for the city and targeted to introduce the sport to new audiences and demonstrate that it is an inclusive sport."

Whilst meeting Red Sox player Mookie Betts, the outfielder told the Duchess he understands they are in fact distant cousins. Speaking about the meeting, Betts said: "Yes, I'm related to Meghan Markle. I did get to meet her; she gave me a hug." In 2018 Mookie became the first player in Major League history to win the Most Valuable Player, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, batting title, and World Series in the same season.
'According to Jim McNiff, an amateur genealogist from Massachusetts, it's entirely possible that the two are related. Betts and Markle apparently had ancestors that lived side-by-side in Alabama in the 1870s who shared the surname of "Betts." Though there's no definitive answer as to whether or not they're properly related, all signs point to that being the case.'
'Meghan hugged Red Sox's Mookie Betts after he told the Duchess that they are distant relatives. According to The Boston Globe, their ancestors are from the same part of Alabama.
Mookie began telling Meghan about his family, saying, "my great, great, great...." before the Duchess broke in jokingly, adding, "great, great, great..."
Mookie gave up trying to explain and said, laughing, "We're family somehow!" Players around them cheered and Harry asked, "does anyone else here want to claim to be family?"
Betts told the Boston Globe last year: 'I saw on television that they were getting married. But I had no idea we were related ... That's not something you expect to hear, but it’s interesting.'

From there, the couple joined a reception with UK and US former Invictus Games competitors and their families and friends. Guests included many participants the couple met before. They chatted about preparations and the road ahead to Invictus 2020 which will take place in the Netherlands

During the Invictus reception Harry revealed he and Meghan had a "sleepless night". Meghan later joked she was relieved not to be asked to throw the first pitch after the late night.
'After meeting both teams, the couple moved across to a reception of Invictus athletes where the couple met adorable nine-month old Raphaella, who was making a lot of noise. Her mother, Bianca Rainbow-Jones, later revealed that Harry had confessed they had had "a sleepless night." Bianca was there to support her husband, Nathan Jones, who is in the Air Force.'
Invictus Games Foundation Chief Executive Dominic Reid said told ITV News: "The support from these groundbreaking games will significantly enhance the Foundation’s ability to provide recovery opportunities for international wounded, injured, or sick serving or veteran armed forces personnel."
Before the game, Maya, the daughter of one of the Invictus competitors placed the game ball upon the pitchers mound in front of 60,000 spectators

Meghan's engagement ring of late. It turns out it was all part of a very special anniversary surprise from Harry. Much like the engagement ring, Harry was hands-on every step of the way with Meghan's eternity ring.
'While creating the bespoke conflict-free diamond eternity band, Harry paid tribute by having Schwartz add birthstones for Meghan, Archie, and himself on the underside of the delicate piece.
