メンタルヘルス
昨年キャサリン妃が立ち上げられた
肝いりプロジェクト
”Mentally Healthy Schools”
に関連したもの。

これは
子供達のメンタルヘルスの早期介入のため
まず学校にて、
教師たちのメンタルヘルスやトレーニングを強化するというもの。
国内、どこでも
ウェブサイトで、
アドバイスを得たり、相談しあったり出来るシステムも。

まず、午後
キャサリン妃は
ロイヤルファウンデーションによる 
”教育の場におけるメンタルヘルス”
カンファレンス
に出席されました。

登場に先駆け
ケンジントンパレス曰く：
 "This event forms part of The Duchess’ continuing work at The Royal Foundation, where much of Her Royal Highness’s focus is on supporting and promoting the mental health of children and young people."

円卓ミーティングでは
「第一子が誕生した時の私は、親としてとてもナイーヴでした。」

 'I was very naive myself as a parent, of really just how important particularly the early years are for children's futures.

'And how critical it is, everyone looking after children at a critical time, teachers, parents, and everyone who's caring for them, how important it is that we get it right.'

The conference 
brought together delegates from across the mental health and education sectors to explore and discuss the benefits of collaborative working and what more can be done to tackle mental health issues in schools.

‘Mentally Healthy Schools’ 
is a website giving primary schools free access to hundreds of the highest quality mental health resources, helping teachers better support their pupils’ mental health

Host Kate Silverton welcomed the Duchess: "Your Royal Highness, it's an absolute honour to have you with us here today, thank you for all the work that you are doing in this field. As you all know she has been a great driving force behind much of the Royal Foundation supporting children in their earliest years."

The Royal Foundation's CEO Lorraine Heggessey delivered opening remarks. Speakers on the panel included representatives from Place2Be and the Anna Freud Centre

 joined a meeting with teachers and specialists from the sector to further discuss the potential impact of consistent mental health teacher training

Teachers described lack of training as a "key barrier".

'During a private round table discussion at Wednesday’s Mental Health in Education conference, Kate met with 11 professionals to discuss the potential impact of consistent mental health training for teachers as well as the challenges facing its implementation.

“When I first started out – and I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time working with organizations – I was very naive myself as a parent of really just how important particularly the early years are for children’s futures,” said the royal mom of three – Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 10 months.

“And how critical it is, everyone looking after children at a critical time, teachers, parents, and everyone who’s caring for them, how important it is that we get it right,” she continued. “I didn’t know what some of the issues that perhaps we take for granted here as experts know about, but it’s being able to translate it to those who don’t have the training in a way that the points come across clearly.”

Although Kate wasn't intending to speak today, she was so impressed by the conference she felt compelled to address guests. Just before she was due to leave, the Duchess told staff she had prepared an impromptu speech

"I wasn't actually planning on speaking but I just want to say a few words of reflection after today's wonderful speakers.

THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE'S SPEECH IN FULL

It’s really so exciting to hear everyone here speaking with your wealth of experience about the importance of mental health and particularly the emotional development of our children and teachers.

What we have all been discussing here today really brings to light the vital role teachers are playing in supporting our youngest children’s mental health.

Thank you all for your dedication to this important cause, whether you work in schools, universities, charities or elsewhere.

Over the last eight years working with charities I’ve met some of our leading experts in mental health, addiction, family breakdown, homelessness and education.

They have taught me over and over again that the root cause of so many of today’s social problems can be traced right back to the very earliest years of a person’s life and often over generations.

The scientific and other evidence is clear the first few years of a child’s life are more pivotal for development and for future health and happiness than any other single moment in our life time.

It is also clear that the positive development of our children is directly linked to those who care for them, teachers, carers and parents.

And as we have heard today, it is therefore vital that we support teachers with their own wellbeing so that they can find the best level of care for all children, in their schools and communities in which they work.

No one of us however can make a difference alone.

I feel so passionately about working together and being here today has affirmed to me just how much already is being done, so thank you to all of you who are prioritising the importance of mental health and the importance of childhood development as a whole. I look forward to hearing how your discussions will lead to proactive steps and to an ever more resounding commitment to mentally healthy schools, teachers and children.

合間に、ジョージ王子＆シャーロット王女のお迎えもされてたり？？
そしたら、凄いなあ〜〜❤️

ガウンで登場❤️

キャサリン妃が、
昨年パトロンとなられた
V&Aミュージアム
で開催された、
ブラックタイのガラ・ディナー
『100 Women in Finance Gala Dinner』
に出席

2001年に設立された
金融投資や代替投資業界で働く女性たちによるチャリティ基金
”100 Women in Finance”

こちらを2009年から
ウィリアム王子
（ロイヤル・ファウンデーション）
がパトロンとなられ
2012年からは
ハリー王子＆キャサリン妃も加入

それ以来、ローテーションでガラに出席されている。

記憶に残るのは、やはり
ウィリアム王子＆キャサリン妃が
初めてお揃いで出席された2011年
キャサリン妃の赤のガウン（ビューラ・ロンドン）
が衝撃的すぎた。

その後、2013年、2015年、そして今年
4回目となります。

今年は、キャサリン妃の番！
となったのも納得
今年のチャリティテーマとなったのは

メンタルヘルスの新たなプロジェクトですね〜

in attendance in her role as patron of 100 Women in Finance's Philanthropic Initiatives. Prince William became patron in 2009 and, in 2012, Kate and Harry joined him. They've attended the annual gala in alternate years since, with funds going to their chosen causes in rotation. This year's proceeds will go to Mentally Healthy Schools. 
It dovetails perfectly with Kate's engagement earlier today - the 'Mental Health in Education' conference where she met teachers from schools using the Mentally Healthy Schools website

100 Women was founded in 2001, 

when three women working at hedge funds had a novel idea: bring together 100 senior female investment professionals to better leverage their collective relationships and enhance communication within the alternatives industry. With an inaugural education event in New York City, they launched 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

100 Women in Finance are the leading global affinity group for professionals in the alternative investments industry. In addition to their philanthropic efforts, they support women in advancing their careers through education and leveraging relationships through peer engagement.

Launched by the Duchess at the beginning of 2018,
 ‘Mentally Healthy Schools’ 
is one of the legacy programmes from the Heads Together campaign, which aims to help people of all ages start conversations about their mental health. The landmark project, run by the Royal Foundation, helps teachers and school leaders better support children's mental wellbeing, by offering school staff reliable and practical resources through a website developed by the youth-focussed charity partners of Heads Together; the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, Place2Be and Young Minds.

One of the key focuses of the website is encouraging a whole-school approach. "A mentally healthy school is one that adopts a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing. It is a school that helps children flourish, learn and succeed by providing opportunities for them, and the adults around them, to develop the strengths and coping skills that underpin resilience. A mentally healthy school sees positive mental health and wellbeing as fundamental to its values, mission and culture. It is a school where child, staff and parent/carer mental health and wellbeing is seen as ‘everybody’s business’."
