昨年、2024年6月29日

英国で起こった最も残虐な事件の一つ

サウスプールでの襲撃事件

 

19歳の少年が
 ”テイラー・スウィフト”をテーマにした

ダンスクラスを襲い、

３人の少女たちが死去

 

Elsie Dot Stancombe（７）

Bebe King（６） 

 Alice da Silva Aguiar（９）

 

そして

８人の子供たちが被害に。

 

これを受け、

ウィリアム皇太子＆キャサリン妃ご夫妻は

同年の10月に、

 事件のあったエリアを訪問

 

今回、再び訪れ

事件の被害者ご家族や関係者、地域社会への

サポートをされた。

 

Part ①

 

ご夫妻は、まず

エルシー・ドット・スタンコムちゃん

（Elsie Dot Stancombe）が通っていた

サウスポート、バークデールにある

ファーンボロー・ロード幼稚園・小学校

 『Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School』

 を訪問され、

エルシーちゃんのご両親と、プライベートでお会いに。

約20分、の時間を共にされたそう。

 

そして、

2024年のサウスポート襲撃事件が、学校にどのような影響を与えたか、

そして幼稚園と付属の小学校が、

生徒、職員、そして地域社会に

どのような支援を提供してきたかについて

教師たちからヒアリングも。 

 

 greeted by 430 children at the infant school where Elsie had been due to start in Year 3 last Autumn. 

 

 Staff and parents, including Elsie’s mother and father Jenni and David, also joined the group, with local sources saying they were ‘deeply touched’ by the visit.

 

Part ②

 

そこから今度は、

 ２人の少女

アリスちゃんとビビちゃん

（Alice da Silva Aguiar ）and（Bebe King）

が通学していた学校へ

『Churchtown Primary School』

 

 そこで同じく、ご両親と対面をされた。

 

皇太子ご夫妻へ

Bebeちゃんの母親から

娘の名が入った、手作りの

フレンドシップ・ブレスをプレゼントされ

それを着けて、撮影もされた。

また、この学校では

子供達の言葉がきっかけで、

寄付が集められ

３人の少女達を悼むと同時に

記憶を残し続けるべく

”新しい遊び場”

が作られ、そのグランドオープンにこそ

駆けつけられなかったお二人でしたが

この日、それもご覧に。

 

そして子供達を含む、皆さんへ

皇太子がスピーチも。

キャサリン妃は、追悼の意を込めて、

この日はシックな、

グレー×ピンク　

 

なんと、ロングコート＋パンツ

というマニッシュな、冬コーデ

 

とはいえ、インナーがシルクのブラウスと、薄手

 

ある意味、キャサリン妃には珍しい

アイテムのコーディネートです。

 

グレー＋ピンク

のカラーコーデは、上品で素敵❤️

シックなのは納得、追悼らしくボウタイ

それもわかる。

でもなぜ色は、華やかなピンクを？

、、、と思いきや、

 意味があった。

昨年の襲撃事件後、

 北西イングランド各地の建物が、

犠牲者を追悼するピンクのライトを点灯したのだとか。

リバプールのセント・ジョージ・ホールやキュナード・ビル、

マージー・ゲートウェイ橋、チェスター市庁舎などのランドマークに加え、

地域内の病院群もライトアップされた。  

After the attack last year, buildings across north-west England were illuminated with pink lights in tribute to the victims. 

Landmarks including St George’s Hall and the Cunard Building in Liverpool, the Mersey Gateway Bridge, and Chester Town Hall were lit up, as well as hospitals across the region.   

そこから、ピンクを選ばれたのねえ、、、

さすがのお心遣いです。。

今年一月に、ロンドンでお買い物中のキャサリン妃の

手にあったのが、今回のバッグ

 

色違い？かと思ったが、

どうやら同じらしい。

今後も、活躍しそう

After arriving at Churchtown Primary School this afternoon, Kate and William toured the inspirational new commemorative playground that has been created in Alice and Bebe's honour.

The children at Churchtown Primary School explained the emotional meanings behind the three paintings on the wall

 

 

 

 

Fundraising efforts for the playground included Alice and Elsie's fathers, as well as the school's headteacher Jinnie Payne, running in the London Marathon. Their Royal Highness (pictured) privately donated to this appeal

 

 

 

The couple joined students, teachers and the bereaved parents to celebrate the new playground, with both the Headteacher of Churchtown Primary School and the Prince of Wales (pictured left) delivering short remarks

'Thank you Jinnie - or should I say Mrs Payne, I don't want to get into trouble! Good afternoon, everyone.

'Catherine and I were sadly not able to join you all last week when this wonderful new playground had its grand opening. 

'We are so happy to be with you today to celebrate this project and to say how proud we are of all of you and the community of Southport.

'The tragic events that unfolded in this town last year still remain difficult to comprehend.

'But last year, Sergio and Alex, you told us you wanted to create a special playground in memory of the girls and here we are.

'Your vision and your determination, supported by Jinnie, the Trust and people's generosity, has made this hope a reality.

'This playground is a symbol of how the community have come together to create such a positive place for the pupils of this school - a symbol of remembrance and resilience, a testament that love will always overcome tragedy.

'Many lives were changed on that terrible day – including countless members of this school community.

'Bebe, Alice and Elsie's friends and classmates have come together to support each other and remember the girls in their own way.

'To the teaching community here at Churchtown Primary and Farnborough Road, where we visited this morning – each and every one of you has gone above and beyond to help heal this incredible group of young people. Thank you.

'To Alex and Sergio, Lauren and Ben, Jenni and David – you are parents united in grief. You have faced such horror - but from that you move forward with grace and fortitude – creating the most remarkable legacies for your girls. We will always be here to support you.

'To everyone impacted on that day you will never be forgotten. Enjoy this playground. Be brave, be joyful and be kind. Thank you.'
