The Prince and Princess of Wales have joined survivors of the Holocaust and more recent genocides at a service at London’s Guildhall to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz - the King is in Poland to attend a service at the concentration camp

キャサリン妃が，突如登場！

この日、1月27日は、ホロコースト・メモリアル・デー

第二次世界大戦で、ナチスドイツによるユダヤ人大虐殺があった

ポーランドアウシュヴィッツ強制収容所が開放された，記念すべき日

更に今年は、80周年という大きな節目でもある

チャールズ国王が

ポーランド、アウシュヴィッツ強制収容所で行われた追悼式典に

欧州ロイヤルとともに出席される一方

ウィリアム皇太子はロンドン，ギルドホールでの追悼式典に

出席が予定されていたのだが

直前になり、キャサリン妃の同席も発表された。

ということで、体調をみながら，ということだろうが

私たち的にはサプライズ登場！

これまでにも、2017年にドイツを公式訪問された際、

ホロコーストの生存者の方々と対面をされ

その後、2020年には、75周年を記念するプロジェクトの一環として

キャサリン妃がホロコースト生存者の方たちを撮影されたことも。

その時のお二人との再会を熱望されていたともいわれる

キャサリン妃だけに、出席が実現したのでしょう。

ホロコーストだけでなく、最近までの大量虐殺の生存者たちを含む

生存者の方々とお会いになった皇太子ご夫妻

式典では、ウィリアム皇太子がお言葉を述べられ

最後は夫妻がキャンドルに火を灯され、

犠牲者たちへ敬意とともに追悼の意を示された。

突如の登場で注目が集まったことは言うまでもないが

この日のファッションにも注目が。

追悼式典という場ゆえ、やはり

キャサリン妃のファッションはブラック！

全身ワントーンのブラックスタイルだったのだが

なんと，初のパンツでコーディネート！！

これは凄い。

これまでは、コート＋ドレス

が基本だったけれど

ロングコート＋ワイドパンツ

でエレガントな喪装は難しい、、、。

しかも、洋服は全て，着回し。

直前に、クローゼットにあるものでコーデ、、という感じが，尚更お見事。

そして、この着回しコーデの重要アイテムといえるのがジュエリー！

唯一のNEWアイテムであるネックレス

これが、なんと5連！！！

当初は、エリザベス女王のものかと思われたが

そうではなく，ヴィンテージ！

しかも、ユダヤ人オーナーのヴィンテージショップ

《Susan Caplan》

のもの。

お値段も、275ポンドとお手頃

1980年代に生産されたもののようで

スワロフスキー・クリスタルのクラスプがついた

「ロジウム・コーティングの5連パール・ネックレス」

ノーブランドで、フェイクパールだが、

クオリティの高い物らしい。

エリザベス女王の鉄板は、3連パールだったし、

ダイアナ妃も生前、レディー・サラ・チャットの結婚式で

4連のパールネックレスをお着けになっていたりと

英国王室はパール好き

故エリザベス2世、クィーン・マザー、ダイアナ妃も大ファン

真珠は、その肖像画に頻繁に真珠を身につけたエリザベス1世から、

頭からつま先まで真珠に身を包んだジョージ5世の妻メアリー女王のような現代の王室まで、

時代を超えて王室の確固たるお気に入りである。

追悼式典など、喪装といえる場では

はもちろんパールが基本ジュエリー

キャサリン妃も、今後も

よりパールジュエリーが増える可能性大

5連といえば，かなりボリュームが出るので

むしろ、ロイヤルコレクションからではなく

ヴィンテージネックレスの方が、軽めでモダンに見えるかも。

クルーネックのニットにすら、

うまく馴染んで，お似合い❤️

ピアスももちろんパール

でも，こちらは、エリザベス女王の物を着けて、ちゃんと格上げも。

見えないけれど、どうやらブレスも着用されているようで

こちらは、ダイアナ妃のものを。

そして、仕上げのアイテムはバッグ

ブラックコーデのアクセントには

《シャネル》！！

キルティングに、ゴールドチェーンとクラシックなデザインのものだから

日本ではあり得ないが

欧州ではあり得るし、とっても素敵❤️

これが、全身ワントーンの黒コーデに効いてる

しかし一方で、このバッグに批判の声も、、

理由は、ココシャネルが、ナチスと親交があったから。

理解出来なくもないが、、、

ロイヤルは大変。。。

それはさて置けば

控えめなのに、

完璧なほどにエレガントなブラックスタイルでした。

Marking Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Today we remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, victims of Nazi persecution, as well as the victims of more recent genocides, including Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
