Bringing together inspiring people from across the UK, Westminster Abbey will be filled with 1,600 people who have supported others in their communities, whether on a personal level with friends and family, through their work or as they selflessly give up their time through volunteering.

急遽、キャサリン妃の出席が発表され、

チャールズ国王、ウィリアム皇太子とともに

カタール国首長夫妻をホスト

英国王室にとっては、

🇯🇵天皇皇后両陛下の英国訪問に続いて

今年で２度目

キャサリン妃にとっては、もちろん今年初

今年一、最もフォーマルなイベント出席といえる。

（現時点では）

まずは、恒例の

チャールズ国王に代わって、首長夫妻を公式にお出迎え

（日本の公式訪問では叶わなかったが、皇太子夫妻が揃って）

こちらは、日本の時より

”ソフト外交”のニュアンスが強いのもありますな。

カタールは、

「（チャールズ）国王の即位以来、英国への国賓訪問に招待された

最初の中東の国として選ばれたことを深く光栄に思う」

と語った。

場所は、ロンドン、ケンジントンパレスで行われた。

ご対面、ご挨拶、記念撮影の後は

チャールズ国王が待つ、儀礼的な公式歓迎式が行われる

ホースガードまでお車でエスコート

終了後は

馬車で、バッキンガム宮殿まで。

パレスに到着すると

プライベートランチに続き

ピクチャー・ギャラリーにて、

カタール関連の品々をご覧に。

キャサリン妃の同席は、ここまで。

ちなみに、カミラ王妃は

まだ、肺感染症が完治していない模様で

バッキンガムパレスから合流

よって、ホースガーズパレードでは、チャールズ国王がお一人だった。

夜には、公式晩餐会が開催され

神エア王妃は、もちろんここでは出席され

キャサリン妃が欠席

国王に続き、ウィリアム皇太子も出席されたが

アン王女の座り位置が、首長のお隣と、立ち位置が上のよう。。

そのほか、エディンバラ公爵ご夫妻

グロスター公爵ご夫妻

ティモシー・ローレンス卿が出席

また、なんとベッカム夫妻も出席していた！

この人、ナイトに任命されそうね、、

ちなみに、カタール🇶🇦は

外交的に英国との良好な関係を享受しており

44歳の首長は、英国で学んだ経験も。

（最初はシャーボーン、その後ハロー）後、

サンドハーストの王立陸軍士官学校

両国は貿易、文化、軍事面でも強いつながりを持ち、

カタールは不動産や建設プロジェクトだけでなく、

科学技術面でも英国への主要な投資国である。

しかし一方で、カタールの支配者一族の権威主義的な性質や人権、

特に移民労働者に関する懸念が指摘されてもいる。

首長であるシェイク・タミーム・ビン・ハマド・アル・ターニ殿下は、

今回の訪問に、第一夫人で、2番目のいとこである

シェイカ・ジャワーヒル・ビント・ハマド・アル・ターニを同伴

（首長には、2人の後妻がいる）

彼女は彼の13人の子供のうち4人の母親であり、

通常、海外での公式訪問に同行

The Princess of Wales greets Sheikha Jawaher, the wife of the Emir of Qatar

King Charles had greeted Kate and Prince William, but unfortunately turned away just as Kate performed the curtsy

This is the awkward moment senior royals appeared to 'ignore' Kate's curtsy as she arrived at the Horse Guards Parade

Bowing and curtsying protocol within the royal family

As a general rule, male members of the royal family bow their heads when greeting each other while female members bob down to curtsy.

However, rank also plays a role.

Everyone in the royal family, including men with the ‘His Royal Highness’ (e.g. Prince William, Prince Edward) and women with the ‘Her Royal Highness’ title (e.g. Princess Catherine, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne), is required to bow or curtsy to His Majesty King Charles and Her Majesty Queen Camilla.

Even the King’s children, Prince William and Prince Harry, should greet their father with a bow of the head.

Occasionally, you will see members of the royal family not bowing or curtsying to greet the King and Queen. Instead they may greet each other with kisses on the cheeks. This is usually the case if they have seen each other earlier on during the same day.

The tradition of royals bowing or curtsying to the King and Queen even extends to their wedding days.

When Prince William married Kate Middleton, they made sure to greet the late Queen Elizabeth II with the appropriate gestures. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did the same on their big day.

The Duchess of Edinburgh and H.E. Mr. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi 

wearing the Wessex Aquamarine Necklace Tiara as she arrived at the palace for an evening hosted by King Charles. The shimmering diadem features an aquamarine diamond and is one of royal's most featured tiaras. 

It's believed that Prince Edward's wife helped with the design of the tiara and she has previously been seen wearing the stunning jewel at King Charles' first State Banquet as monarch
