『Trooping the Colour』
The nation is embracing the special extended four-day bank holiday weekend of pomp, pageantry and star-studded festivities
Trooping the Colour is an annual highlight on the summer calendar, promising a stunning display of pomp and pageantry in London. It's the first time it's been held since 2019.
Although the Queen's birthday is 21 April, it has long been tradition to celebrate the sovereign's birthday publicly on a day in June, when sunny weather is more likely. Her Majesty has attended Trooping the Colour every year since 1947 -- except in 1955 when a national rail strike cancelled the event

The hospitality industry is set to reap a ￡2 billion bonanza from the extended Jubilee bank holiday.
A survey held jointly by four trade bodies estimates that the sector can look forward to a 22 per cent jump in trade over the next four days as the UK celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
UKHospitality, the British Institute of Innkeeping, the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) and Hospitality Ulster say the extra ￡2 billion is almost ￡400 million more than pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues could expect to earn during a normal Thursday to Sunday in May.

The Queen will kickstart the lighting of a chain of beacons across the UK to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
