４日間のイタリア訪問中ですが

8日火曜日

ウィリアム皇太子がジョージ王子を連れて

フランスはパリへ！

と言っても、もちろん

私たちにはサプライズ！

この日パリで行われた

サッカーの『UEFA チャンピオンズ・リーグ』

の準々決勝を観戦のため。

このお二人で、ましてやジョージ王子とご一緒に、、となれば

もう、あれしかない！w

そう、アストン・ヴィラFCの試合

父ウィリアム皇太子にならって、ジョージ王子も

超熱心なサポーター

しかも、チャンピオンズリーグの準々決勝は

なんと、43年ぶりというから、そりゃあ、、、納得！

お相手は、パリ・サンジェルマン

ということで、アストンヴィラにとってはアウェイ

アウェイの中、息子と愛する自国チームを応援すべく

駆け付けられたわけです。

試合前の、TNT sport 番組でのインタビューで

元サッカー選手、現在はサッカー解説者のリオ・ファーディナンド氏から、

試合前の心境を聞かれ、皇太子は、

「とても怖いです。久しぶりのビッグゲームだからね。前回の試合から43年も経っているし、ヴィラにとってはヨーロッパのビッグナイトだから緊張しています。」

 『まあ、今日は息子もここにいるから、僕もお行儀良くしておくよ。

でもね、アストン・ヴィラファンとして、僕の世代でこんなこと(準々決勝)が起こったのは43年ぶりだし、ジョージにも欧州の大きな大会でのアウェイの試合を体験してもらいたいんです。

次回にこれが起こるのが43年後でないことを願うけれど、そのような思い出を作ることは本当に大切なことだと思うし、今夜彼を連れてくることは私にとって意味があることなんです」。

ごもっとも、、、っぽいが

単に超熱狂的なサポーターの父としての希望かも？！などと穿っても見たり(笑)

とはいっても、ウィリアム皇太子はサッカー協会のプレジデントだし、

いつか将来、ジョージ王子がその役目を引き継がれる可能性も大。

そう思えば、公務の練習とも言えなくも。。

とにもかくにも、こんな偏愛ぶりを堂々と語れるのも、英国ならでは

と改めて実感。

試合は、ウィリアム皇太子、ジョージ王子の側に、

皇太子の親友でシャーロット王女のゴッドファーザー

トーマス・ヴァン・ストラウベンジー氏や、

ウィリアム・ヴァン・クツェム氏(ジョージ王子のゴッドファーザー)も。

息子に加え、親友たちまでも一緒に、

この歴史的な試合を見逃せない！といったところなのだろう

試合中は、お行儀よく、、と言いつつ

やはり感情が隠せない皇太子

一方で、やはり公の場ではシャイが、、

緊張感もありつつ、おとなしく観戦されていたジョージ王子だったが

やはりアストン・ヴィラがゴールを決めた瞬間は

父子で感情爆発！

特に、やはりウィリアム皇太子の喜びようは凄かった！！

息子をギュ〜ッと強く抱きしめ、嬉しさ共有！

パパ大好きなジョージ王子は、やや痛そう？な気配があるも(笑)

ゴールも嬉しいし、パパと喜べて嬉しい、とばかりに

ダブルの喜び、と言った感じのジョージ王子

残念ながら、ゴールはこの一度のみ、、、

皇太子の事前（希望的）予想、2対１で勝利）は叶わず

実際は、1対３で敗退。。。

でも、終了後はいつものように選手たちの部屋を訪れ

健闘を讃えられた皇太子でした。

一方、この日もう一つ話題となったのが、

ウィリアム皇太子のインタビュー時のコメント！

実は、今シーズンを通してアストン・ヴィラの様々な試合に顔を出したり

チームのトレーニングにも顔を出していらしたそうな皇太子

それだけに、チームやウナイ・エメリ監督のことや、戦術などについても語られたんです。

それを聞いて、SNS上では、

「ウィリアム王子は本当に良い評論家だ。明晰で知的で、サッカーについて本当に詳しい」

とtweetする人や

「ウィリアム王子が、サッカーの戦術の知識をもって、あんなに思慮深く語るとは思わなかった。とてもクール！彼をスタジオに呼んでくれ』

という人すら。

インタビュー中にも、実は解説者のファーディナンド氏が、

「評論家の仕事には就かないで下さいね。僕が(試合)会場から追い出されてしまいますから。」と、ウィリアム皇太子に。

皇太子の冷静かつ熱のこもったコメントに、ファンたちの間では、

解説者、または評論家としてのポテンシャルの声も。。

もしや今後、サッカー解説を、、なんてことも？！

きっとご本人にとっては、願ったり叶ったり、ではないかと思うし

なんなら、可能ならば、心中

国王になるより、サッカー解説者になりたいと熱望されるかも、、、。

ま、あくまでも偏愛サポーター（笑）

アストン・ヴィラ専門の解説が妥当なのでしょうが、

前代未聞の皇太子兼解説者、是非ともやって頂きたい！！

そんな想定外の注目も集めつつ、

父子で歴史的な試合を楽しまれたウィリアム皇太子とジョージ王子。

他のお2人のお子様たちも、ご自宅で試合を見ているはず、

と、ウィリアムが語っていらっしゃいました。

ちなみに私は、この日の父子ファッションにも注目！

予想以上に超そっくりだった（笑）

全身のカラーコーデとして

ネイビー×ブラウン

揃って、ネイビーのジャケット、しかも襟付きでデザインまで激似！

中には、ともにブルー系のニット

皇太子は襟付きカーデで、王子はクルーネック。

その下に、皇太子はデニムシャツ

ジョージ王子は、チェックのシャツと

微妙には上手く変えつつ、ほぼスタイルは同じ。

パンツも、お二人ともネイビーのチノパン

靴も、ブラウンのスエード

この日もジョージ王子は、まさに、ミニ皇太子！

王子の首には、しっかりアストン・ヴィラのチームマフラーも。

ここまでソックリにする？、、、と少々ウケた私ですが

実はこれにも、意味があった模様。。

というのも、

ウィリアム皇太子は、この日の勝利を願って、

幸運を呼ぶ服を着て来た、と話された。

一体、どれなのかは不明だが、

きっとジョージ王子も、似たラッキークローズをお召しになっていたのだろうから

私のコメントはNGですな❌

でも残念ながら、ラッキークローズも効果発揮せず、、、、泣

あと、ジョージ王子の身長が、更に伸びたようにもお見受け

お顔も、また少し大人顔になったようにも？

誰似だ、、、と眺めながら

キャサリン妃により似てこられた？

もしくは、以前から言ってる、ダイアナ妃の弟スペンサー伯爵に更に似てこられた？

または、キャサリン妃の弟ジェームズさんとか？

それはさておき、

このあと発覚しますが、

先週、ご一家は、スキー旅行にいかれていたらしい。。。

パパラッチされてしまいます。

Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand was also full of praise for 42-year-old William, joking:

 'Do not go for a punditry job, please, because I could be out of the game. The way he just dissected that there, I'm going to nick that for later on.'

William told the pundits that he was predicting a 2-1 victory for Villa, who ended up losing 3-1

She told Corporal Adam Hamilton, an Australian reservist: "George finds it fascinating that he has been to Australia and New Zealand.

"I would like to go back there with them now. 

It's finding time to do that.  But I love to travel – yes, it's a long flight. But I love the Middle East because that's familiar to me [from] growing up. There are so many opportunities now to travel, I think it's brilliant to experience it.

"We tend to go further afield when it’s official visits, it's being able to carve out time to experience these countries in a more private capacity. Because otherwise you end up seeing lots of insides of amazing buildings but you don't get to meet that many people

“It’s making sure that you can combine a bit of work with the children. I might see you down there!"

The Princess, who wore a bottle green coat by Alexander McQueen and a matching hat with a gold shamrock Cartier brooch of the Irish Guards, was also asked where she and her family lived.

"We are in Windsor at the moment," she replied. "We were in London but moved there for more green space. It's close enough to London, not too far away."

The Princess also chatted to section commanders in the bar about her husband's beard.

“These trends come and go," she said. "I was saying to my husband, I'm not sure how long he’s going to keep his for."

Told that Noah Hogan, whose father John is Company Sergeant Major, was a keen footballer, she replied: "Our kiddies play football. Do Mummy and Daddy come and watch? Do you like the idea of being in the Army too?"

She chatted to his brother: "You're the same age as George. So you haven't got exams this year?”

Told he has just joined the Army cadets, she said: "You get to try so many different things there. Within the military, there are so many career different paths you can take. It's so exciting. Actually it's one of the things that I'm very keen to support, that recruitment side."
